If you take an objective look at what Rep Nunes did today, how can ....

you not be thinking that we are fvcked as a nation. The chair of the House Intel Committee who is the recipient of classified intelligence runs to a person being investigated to show him the evidence on his team....... does anybody in congress look at the big picture and realize they have a greater role than partisan politics?

You're thinking is extremely flawed. What Nunes showed Trump today had zero to do with Russia or the Russian investigation. The president is certainly entitled to know that his transition team was surveilled perhaps legally. He is certainly entitled to know that some information was disseminated and identities unmasked. If this had something to do with Russia I would agree with you.

I just keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. The left is going waaaaaaaaaaaay out on a limb with this stuff. Playing by conventional political rules, they are in a strong position. The game thus far over 20 months hasn't been what the politicians are used to playing. Have they learned and adapted or are they setting up to be another example of Trump breaking conventional rules and leaving them looking retarded?

Thus far, it's like they've (both parties) seen the spread offense for the very first time and have no idea how to defend it.

Agree completely. How, why can anyone in their right mind come to the conclusion that information on an ongoing investigation should be shared with the subject of the investigation?

This briefing had ZERO to do with the ongoing investigation. Nunes said today, this had nothing to do with Russia.

Here is my take and I'll admit watching some talking heads influenced my perspective on this one.

Nunnes is not necessarily sophisticated in the world of Intelligence even though Ryan put him in as a chairman of the committee. The hearing the other day did not do Trump any favors and then Nunnes found out some additional information and wanted to stay in good graces with the President as again, the game that is being played is all about POWER in partisan politics. So, he thought the right thing was to make the President aware of the new information by going to the WH personally. It was a nieve move by him in the position that he holds but I believe he was not fully aware of that when he did it.

A bunch of amateurs are in powerful positions and they are doing a crap job in the government. It is shown everyday.

Take the tin foil off for a moment amd ask yourself this. If you knew Flynn was working for a foreign government, Manafort had worked for the Russians with ties to Putin's govt to de-stabilize anti russian governments, tillerson personally knew Putin and lobbied to bribe russian official, and you knew there are others who worked on trumps campaign with ties to Russia. You also know Russia may have hacked the Dems. And you knew Trump was bailed out financially by a shady real estate deal with a rich russian. Knowing this, why are you bothered by the FBI or CIA gathering Intel on the trump team?

John McCain is now advocating that Nunes cannot be trusted and the investigation needs turned over to an independent non-partisan group. Several other Republicans are saying the same thing. Really dumb move.
Is one of them Lindsy Graham?

Link? Regardless, the unmasking of names and loose handling of questionable intelligence is the biggest concern that is FACTUAL in this three ring circus so far. Yet all you clowns want to talk about is hypothetical scenarios that none have been proven whatsoever.

To wingnuts, loyalty to their party trumps loyalty to the country. Simple as that.

Apparently they didn't have it. I'm not in DC but why would you be providing evidence to the person whose team is being investigated?
And running to tell the press a very vague portion of the findings that create a large amount of speculation supporting a President (that is under investigation) immediately after damaging information was revealed during a senate hearing?

What damaging information? Comey said nothing. Democrats rehashed the same crap that had already been spewed. It was a non-event.

They never said Trump was under investigation. They didn't say the campaign was under investigation. They said individuals in campaign were being investigated. You clowns are hearing what you want to hear.

They didn't confirm those tweets did they? Hearing what I want to hear? How about you? He accused Obama of committing crimes....FBI and NSA do not confirm it happened AT ALL....Nunes runs in front of camera and says "I have information that confirms it".....what do you hear?

Was the FBI and Congress investigating Obama's birth certificate? Geez, I just remember a group of jagoffs spouting bs on twitter and FOX News about Kenya and "credible sources" that never amounted to anything.

Guess I'm just so partisan that I allow the deep state IC and FBI to influence my thinking. I guess we should do away with the FBI? Just have Trump, Republican lawmakers, FOX News, and the military......and some cops, but only if they pledge their loyalty to trump by raising their hands in the air

As stated, you hear what you want to hear.

You know I can't stand Trump and his minions. But I have to wonder what it will take for many on the right to become even remotely concerned about the number of ties his staff have/had to Russia and other governments. Too many coincidences. Too much smoke. Few on the right seem to even care and are completely ok with any or all of it because they won the election. Having spent my first 20 years of life witnessing the cold war, I can't even grasp that.

For me, something more than circumstantial evidence going back 12-15 years. But I'm not a minion.

Well that's all I have to go on
You need to pay closer attention.

-The chairman of Trump's campaign as p[aid $10million/year by Russian interests to promote Putin's aganda and lied about it

-Trump's national security advisor blatantly lied about his convo with the Russian about sanctions imposed on Russia for hacking our election. And this convo occurred the day the santions were announced

-Candidate rump said one of his foreign policy advisors would be carter page. he has lied about his contact with russians

-Trump himself has lided about his business dealing with Russia saying in debates and since being elected that he had no business ties to russia when he has previously admiited that he does. And so has his son admitted as much

-Roger Stone, a former Trump campaign advisor, forewarned the release by Wikileaks of Podestas's emails. Emails which were released the day that the *****-grabbing video came out.

-Trump's labor secretary was chairman of the bank of Cyprus-a bank used by shady Russians to launder money. Also on the Board of this bank is the guy who paid Trump $100 for a Florida home that Trump paid $40 million for. This guy has close ties to Putin

-Trump continues to refuse to criticize Putin even mitigating facts that Putin is a killer by saying so are we.

More smoke than this but I have glasses to adjust now.

I see all that but clapper and comey both have said for months there is no evidence of collusion . All of the above has been known and by them for months.

Actual evidence of criminal wrong doing. Shocker, international businessman has international business dealings with a foreign government dating back decades!
