Man, you'd have to imagine kids would love to play for this guy. He has that rare combination of confidence and humility. You can just see it in his body language that his sole prerogative is to just get better each and every day, and to keep his ego in check. He doesn't rely on mantras, he talks real football - and man, that's refreshing for us fans. The guy just feels like a football coach. I don't see how our current players wouldn't be excited about playing for him. You want a guy that works this hard and is this intensely focused, because it makes you want to rise to that level.

Honestly, the more I hear from him, we really could have a winner on our hands. May take a couple years to fill out his staff and change the mindset of the program... but the ingredients are there.

"It's a process." Guess we'll be hearing that a lot again, but for some reason it struck a more pleasant chord coming from Ash. He might actually know what the process is.

Kids better get ready to get after it. You can see he likes lively practices.

I like how he talks about always looking for new things. I believe he was instrumental in OSU moving to a "rugby style" tacking technique, which paid dividends for them.

Geez this guy already knows what it takes to be a Head coach. He's not a stupid stubborn moron who refused to change his terrible QB

Oh man, just look at the football knowledge he pours out in this video. He doesn't treat fans/reporters like they're idiots who can't understand football. Love it!

I think Coach Ash is going to be fine in the living room of recruits. He commands attention. I'm sold.
I love the fact that he wants to adjust to the skill set of his players. As he stated ,he will simplify matters if that's what it takes to bring out the best in his players. He seems to know what it takes to succeed and will do just that.A great hire!

Can you imagine what Ash will do with our current defensive guys? Hamilton, Kemoko, et al?

Hearing what the Ohio State beat writers have to say about him, and how much of a loss he is to their program... is super encouraging.

These are no, "what's your name and where are you from" or "we made some plays, have to look at the film, we will go back to work tomorrow and go 1 and 0 next week" press conferences. Love the thorough analysis and the way he describes what he's learned watching Urban coach. He gets it. Love this guy.

A big difference from "we knew it would be a tremendous challenge to be 1 and 0 against a very talented football team" referring to 2-9 Maryland. This is what a football coach should sound like.

And he should have a one on one with Anthony Russo and let him know that we can do this for him.....
