Not after a year. No chance. I’ll be more worried about the NBA in 3 or 4 years. If Kansas or Kentucky or _____________ tries to hire Ben does he move on?

? Money talks. UNC and UK will be looking. On the flip side, coaches have used early success to get huge contracts and buyouts and then thud.If Kansas or Kentucky or _____________ tries to hire Ben does he move on?
This has been in the back of my mind since his introductory press conference. If Kansas or Kentucky or _____________ tries to hire Ben does he move on?
And you can add just in basketball George Raveling and Ralph Miller.Outside of Lute Olsen who many coaches leave Iowa in any sport by their choice? Alford doesn't count he saw the writing on the wall and wanted to save face.
So actually since 1964 3 of our 9 men's basketball coaches have left to pursue (in their minds) a better opportunity. And you can add just in basketball George Raveling and Ralph Miller.
Nope.Do 5 stars want to play grinder ball?
Depends on what their offer is and what Iowa does to counter that offer. I could see him staying for less money, but if one of those programs offers $4-$5 million and Iowa comes back with $900k, then he may not really have a choice. FWIW, I have no idea what he is paid now or what those other schools would offer so sorry if my guesses are wrong. You get the idea.If Kansas or Kentucky or _____________ tries to hire Ben does he move on?
I don't think Ben leaves, but he could use it as leverage to earn more money and get more commitment to NIL .? Money talks. UNC and UK will be looking. On the flip side, coaches have used early success to get huge contracts and buyouts and then thud.
No, but his agent will get him an extension and a raise based on the interest. If Kansas or Kentucky or _____________ tries to hire Ben does he move on?
Of course he does.............If Kansas or Kentucky or _____________ tries to hire Ben does he move on?
Ben has stated that the Iowa job is a "destination job" for him, meaning he has no intention of going anywhere. Obviously that can change, but that was his statement earlier. If Kansas or Kentucky or _____________ tries to hire Ben does he move on?
Likely not, but winners will.Do 5 stars want to play grinder ball?
You're kidding right? Not after a year. No chance. I’ll be more worried about the NBA in 3 or 4 years.
How bad would the next 2 years have to be? Lickliter bad, or worse? Tough times for your source lolI was told by a very good source that Ben will be fired in 2-3 years
I thought Self had a lifetime contract….If Kansas or Kentucky or _____________ tries to hire Ben does he move on?
Ben is not an NBA type guy. He likes to actually coach basketball. Not worried about it since he grew up a Hawk fan. No idea if he has NBA aspirations but that’s the only jump I’d be worried about.
I think one became AD, and 4 in a row were let goSo actually since 1964 3 of our 9 men's basketball coaches have left to pursue (in their minds) a better opportunity.
What's so outlandish about that? You're kidding right?
For grinder ball, I can say I never get bored watching them play because there is so much movement. It's not like watching Wisconsin throwing rocks and punching people in the nuts. It's deceptively grinder because it looks a lot like a high tempo offense. It's just a lot of passing.I keep seeing people mention grinder ball. First watching it does not seem like grinder ball because of how much movement there is in the offense. Second if he has 5* players he will run a faster tempo offense, but Ben is smart enough to know that if you are going to win with the team he has now you have to play this way.
I think he needs a splash in the portal to land another stellar PG, and then with recruiting he is going to start building something special as he proves he has it at the Power 4 level.
