from having a team that could host a regional, have an above .500 record in the SEC, etc. In 2012 MSU will have a top tier SEC Friday night starter, as well as other experienced talented arms to give them a legit SEC rotation. Those guys could have a great year this year but besides Stratton, I expect some of them to get banged around a little bit once conference play comes around. I could very well see MSU go into conference play with only 2 to 4 losses. If that happens and everybody has confidence they could very well make a little noise this year. In 2012 they should have enough talent and experience both on the mound and in the field to be a real player in the SEC. I guess it will take him one more year than it did at Kentucky but he inherited a real mess and as others have said, the SEC is even more competitive now than it was when he was at UK.
