Other than the race aspect, I haven't heard anything from Incognito that doesn't sound exactly like something I would hear from my friends.

Agreed. I was kinda surprised at what Bill Parcell's said. In the snippet I heard, he basically insinuated that you shouldn't expect political correctness in the locker room.

I do think the Dolphins are going to burn at the stake though. No doubt their is some sort of cover up going on. Seems like ALL of them are on the side of Incognito. No one wants to be the whistleblower. The more the media start digging, the worse it's going to be. Just ask the Saints. Some coaches and upper management are going to lose their jobs over this. It's just a matter of time.

haha nice quote Herm. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out with Philbun. Even if he asked Incognito to toughen Martin up, I don't see that as a big deal. I'm sure he'll be able to distance himself from the racial aspects, and probably save his job.

It doesn't mean that someone that would prefer not to hear that has to constantly endure it from someone that thought anything goes in the locker room.

Martin is a damn huge *** OL himself so maybe if he wasn't such a big ***** he could've taken care of the situation himself. You're 6-7 300 and claim you were being bullied? This is a big deal about nothing...normal locker room stuff.

Yup.. he should've kicked Incognito's ***....

and subsequently gotten fined (and possibly suspended), possibly injured a teammate who starts on the OL and alienated himself even further in a lockerroom that is clearly pro-Incognito (or at least the majority seem to be)

We had a discussion about this at work, and the general consensus was that we'd all put up with worse ourselves, except for the threat against the family.
At that point, you inform your boss that there will be a fight upcoming shortly between you and another employee. In a normal workplace, somebody gets fired then or shortly thereafter. In the football world, they fight and everyone moves on.

Martin reminds me of one of those kids every year that joins a fraternity and quits because someone yelled at him and made him do push-ups. I don't have a problem with him taking offense to what happened, but I have a problem with how he went about stopping it.

No one really knows the whole story except the two of them and neither of them are talking. The newspapers have turned this thing into a circus.

Cowherd had Romanowski on this morning..

Told a lot of stories about hazing and how after two weeks of Charles Haley's abuse he finally beat the crap out of him and it ended. He then went into other hazing stories and vileness in the locker room then started in on a story about a guy masturbating during a team meeting. Colin finally had to cut him off. I think what came after the masturbating comment is what got him cut off. Would have been interesting to hear. Anyway, all this to say I had a pretty good inkling much worse goes on in and around the locker room than what's happened to Martin. Romanowski proved it. By the way, the roids and concussions have really done a number on his speech patterns.

I'd do the opposite of what Romanowski says. He's the epitome of a punk. Tony Dorsett's story yesterday was pretty damn sad.

I bet you the masturbation story was referring to Haley as well. Supposedly he did it all the time in locker rooms and in meetings. He got even more brazen about it when he played for the Cowboys. He was one weird dude.

That was definitely Haley. If you have never read Boys Will Be Boys, it is a must read. Haley is probably certifiably insane. He would walk up to people and start jerking off while talking about their wife.

NFL has a tradition in hazing rookies like in dazed and confused it was tradition for Seniors to track down Freshmen and paddle them. Incognito is just the ******* that takes it too far and takes the fun out of the tradition much like the guy in dazed and confused. Everybody had a friend like this that takes it a little too far and makes people uncomfortable.

are always great to listen to. Not so much for the insight, as much as the craziness. His years of chemically abusing his body have definitely taken a toll.
