Like every other series this year, both past and present- and I guess baseball at large- it will depend on our ability to minimize unforced errors (walking in free runs, moving guys over on errors) and capitalize on opportunities.

But until our pitching is sorted out there's going to need to be a good deal of lucky breaks i think in order for us to take many series' on the road.

They are a good team. I think people are underestimating UK a bit, but winning two in College Station will be no easy task.

On the other hand, I'll be ticked if we lose the SC series. They just don't impress me this year.

I agree with most of what you say....but I hope everybody realizes that we pitched well enough to sweep Kentucky. Even in the game that we spotted them 3-4 runs, we shut them down after that.

Our problem against Kentucky was that we didn't have a single starting lineup with all of our best players in it. That is why that series frustrates me so bad. Had we started the same lineup that we started against Austin Peay, except with Slauter, we would have won at least 2 and likely swept UK.

I agree our pitching needs work, but they did a good enough job, as a whole, to win or sweep UK.

Just depends on how our pitching

shakes out and if we can ever get it stabilized somehow. I think we are about to see more Trevor Fitts a little bit more. I think it's also getting to be time to start thinking about possibly using Ben Bracewell as a starter also- but I think the key to that working is going to be John Marc Shelly replacing Ben in the bullpen as the set-up guy, which I personally think he could do.

If it gets really bad, we may have to do bullpen games- like start Ross Mitchell and let him go 3-5 innings and then maybe Gentry for 2-4, Bracewell, for 1 and then Holder.

Would have been nice if Rea hitting that scoreboard counted as a home run as it does in 99% of the other stadiums in America. I wonder what the discussions about the lineup would be if that was the case?

It is what it is though.

I think we will stay with this lineup for the time being- maybe switch Robson and Demarcus out based on who is hot, but that will probably be it for the most part.
