I'm amazed at the number of media stories claiming that NCAA BB is broken....

I heard a discussion about this a while ago. I guess people are somehow up in arms about defense being a part of the college game. I like it the way it is. If that means that I sometimes see a low scoring game, I'm fine with that.

Exactly. Defense is a huge part of it, just as it is in the international/olympic brands of BB. I get the feeling the newsies are listening too much to NBA owners who want the NCAA to mirror their format.

My own impression is that most of this kind of talk simply originates with NBA shills......like, for example, pretty much everyone on ESPN Radio. So, in light of my dramatically declining interest in the Worldwide Leader......both on TV and radio......I myself pay little attention to it.

That said, I'm not opposed to some of the ideas in the linked piece; like, for example, the reduction in the number of time outs.

If defense is removed from the game, might as well play HORSE and I was a fan of the two hand set shot. Now that was skill.
