I'm glad Mississippi has all this optimism

They are going to roll Tulane about 56-20 Saturday in the Dome and all the Confederates will be telling us how our win over S. Alabama doesnt mean ****. They will be talking their noise and believing in Freezus.

Why will I enjoy this?

Because, starting next Monday, I get to watch them endure soul-crushing loss after soul-crushing loss on their way to 0-8 in the SEC. Alabama is going to beat them up. Then A&M will show them that the Texas offense was nothing special. Auburn may be having problems, but they will rush for over 300 yards on them as their OL pushes the Confederate D off the end of the field. That damn marine standing behind the end zone better get out of the way when Auburn's OL shoves them back on him.

UPig will get things straight enough to win with Wilson throwing for 400 yards on that defense. Georgia will result in another beatdown. Vandy will continue to show their dominance over them as well. The end of the season will have them getting curbstomped by their 2 rivals. 0-8 and they will be sooooo hurt all the way to their core. As many of us learned with Crooms- its easier to handle when you know its going to be bad. However when optimism still lives inside of you, you feel alive. Those feelings are no longer numb and you feel- good and bad. And the fun of watching them hurt to their soul each week is going to be fun, fun, fun

Good point about them making fun of South Alabama, but they will be on cloud 9 after beating Tulane. All of the Rebels that I work with feel good about where they are and how they played Saturday night. It's unreal. I've never seen a fan base make fun of their rivals for doing something that they later do and brag about. (hashtags, scheduling weak opponents, etc.)

According to this wikipedia...

Bears begin to hibernate around October. So it's only fitting that their schedule in September allowed them some hope. Who knew that Pete Boone made this schedule to resemble the living habits of their newly appointed mascot? Well done, Pete. Can't believe they fired you, when in fact you probably deserved a raise.

Thanks for yet another post with such great insight into our rival's football program. I mean, ****, who knew that Ole Miss wasn't going to be any good this year? What are you going to tell me next, that the sunshine is bright?

They scored 31 on that tough Texas Defense, something to be proud of..

Or so I have been told.
I can't wait until Bama hangs 70 on them. That line should be 40+ points...

You really think they'll go 0-8?

They've got a chance to beat AU and Vandy. They'll have to endure several serious beatings but they have a chance against those two. If they managed to pull that off then they'd have 5 wins going into our game. All in all I'd be somewhat optimistic if I supported them.

That Texas D has given up 23 ppg average over the past 2 years, good for an average of 41st in the country. So, OM was 8 points better than average against that D.

Tired of their delusion of Texas being a dynasty-level defense. Fact is, Texas will be exposed in all of the next 3 weekends... Will likely finish around #30-#40 in scoring D again this year.

The Wyoming defense held the Texas offense to 241 fewer yards, and the Wyoming offense only gained 54 fewer yards than UM, but whatever.

yes- I think they go 0-8. Auburn is going to push them all over the place. Plus, they should be good and beat up by the time they get to Vandy.

Their D is so bad that it will far overshadow the improved offense. And that offense hasnt faced any SEC DL's yet. Texas was up 38-10 and just coasting- and Mississippi hit some big plays against a D that had relaxed and started playing some back-ups. Bo Wallace's days as the starting QB are numbered- he is an injury waiting to happen once SEC LB's start hitting him.

Getting excited over a kickoff return for a TD and a couple of TD's vs a defense that was coasting is fool's gold.

I'm calling at least one.

Clearly they're not great, but Arkansas and Auburn look pretty bad. Even though Auburn and Arkansas have better talent, with the way they are falling short of expectations, I could see the players giving up on their coach. Seems like both of those could be in reach if UM's players don't give up on Freeze.

I think they'll go 0-8. Auburn is going to put up over 30 points on that defense.

I'm still saying UM beats AU. I think Freeze is smart enough to scheme around the awful line play to put up a few points and I just don't think Auburn can get it together enough on offense to keep up. Auburn could stall a drive if the opposing defense didn't even take the field. Vandy is in the same boat, but their defense may win it for them.

Before the game, the talk was, why arent we the Gameday game? well when you lose the last 22 SEC games in a row, your not exactly Gameday material. Looks like the Gameday people knew what they were doing.
