I'm hesitant to celebrate

We only get to enjoy this one for 2 weeks because if the scheduling. I think it'll be tough for us to beat them in Oxford with their best player back. This will probably be the lone bright spot this year

"Lone bright spot"? Please do not comment on basketball any further. It's better to be thought ignorant than to hit enter and prove it true.

Awful overall post aside, I'll take the opportunity to say that I'm just not that scared of Henderson. He shoots them out of as many games as he shoots them into.

You do realize that this is just our second SEC game of the year, right?

We could win seven or eight conference games this year. Quit being a *****.

We could certainly win our next three games to be 4-1 and 14-4 heading into our trip to Oxford.

At Bama on Wednesday followed by A&M and Auburn at home. We may lose all three, but we've got a chance in each game. A&M is surprising me with wins against UT and Arkansas but I still don't think they are good.

Why can't people put things in perspective? RR 2nd year and starting from nothing. We are 11-4 and 1-1 in the SEC. No we are not very good, but I will take it at this point in time. Try to be happy, life is too short.

Why can't you put things into "perspective" and "be happy" instead of throwing out some ******** about "hesitating to celebrate likely the only bright spot of the year".

Yeah that's what I'm happy about. We're at least improving from a year ago. Already surpassed last season win total & now we just need to pass the SEC total of 4. And before SEC play started I called anywhere between 6-12 to 8-10 SEC record.

I've been as pessimistic as anybody, but you always celebrate a win. Especially over those cocky, drunk, lighthouse pant wearing 17bags.

The best they could possibly do would be to split with us this season. And their best player was on the court yesterday.

They are a finesse team and we are not. Just like Ray said, if we are able to attack the zone on every possession and hit some jumpers along the way (and for goodness sakes, hit our free throws), we will do a lot better than expected. All OM was really able to do yesterday was hit enough 3 pointers to make it respectable and grab a few offensive boards, but when it came to getting baskets when they absolutely needed it, they didn't know what to do. Henderson only adds more perimeter firepower.

What the 17 are you talking about? I'm not the one that started the thread. I am happy. Idiot.

I just find

it hilarious that when our talent level is as low or lower than its ever been and they've got one of thei better teams in 10+ years, we still own them. They are a joke of a program. It's kind of fitting that they play in that dump.

Because the same people who were saying we should never be satisfied with 20 wins are now saying we should be happy where we are now. I can see the progress, but I'm not satisfied with where we currently are.

Wow. I hit my favorite tab for SPS and that damn IE takes me to Gene's Page. Seriously, you guys amaze me how you devour your own. I agree with what you are saying about the team but 1941dawg was just exercising his god given right to be pessimistic. Please reread your SPS user manual and recite the board banner "Abandon all hope ye who cheer for the Maroon & White" ten times. If your going to be Gene homers at least do it with style and humor befitting this board.

BTW, I have no clue where this post will end up in this thread so don't call me an idiot.

I think you have a very fundamental misunderstanding of the difference between the Sixpack and Gene's Page.

I'll go ahead and let you know...

Most of MSU's conference wins are going to occur at home and when MSU makes the return trip, it will lose most of those games on the road. That is not exactly earth shattering news.

hell, last year, we won BECAUSE their best player wouldnt stop shooting the ball. GTFO with that **** and embrace the fact that even in one of our lowest points in the last decade (talent wise), and one of their best teams in the past decade, they were still only able to go 1-1 at best.

That's a pretty large assumption saying they'll have their best player back. Two weeks is a long time for Henderson not to shoot a hooker in meth induced rampage.

No doubt, he's a streaky *** shooter and if he's missing shots it's even worse because AK *MAKES THEM* give the rock to Marshall (he likes his rocks).

OM is far from a great basketball team, even last year despite their lucky streak late in the year they weren't much of a squad. I think we have a good shot of beating them at the Tad this year.

Really that's true for all of us.
Not the meth part, it's supresses your appetite. Which probably makes it a little too scary for you and DS. Now the hooker part that's awholenother ball of wax.
