Personally, I think it's a tempest in a teapot and is going to have minimal impact come signing day, but it's interesting to see all these folks suddenly coming out with concern about the football student athlete.

As with anything in business, all it takes is one company to do something out of the ordinary, then the competition MUST follow suit to keep up. Time for the insanity of college football to reel itself back in and get back to it's roots, but exactly like liberalism, once a threshold is crossed it can not go back.

This is only going to get worse and the game will prosper in popularity and we will piss and moan over it, but still pay to see it.

JH is correct that other sports (vball, bball, softball and baseball) travel during non-school times for "team bonding" so why should it be treated any different just because it is football?

Better tell all those other sports that they cannot do it anymore because it isn't fair...
