I'm not one to talk about Mississippi's recruiting much, but really?

Freeze was reduced to tears when Hooks told him he was going to sign. I know recruiting's important, but I think that's taking it a little too far.

I read that and though the same thing. I mean ... damn ... we are going to have to start crying now? Can we hire Jimmy Swaggart to recruit for us? This is a lot of pressure. It won't be long before we'll be kissing asses - literally.

Whatever works for him. He's still going to have to coach these guys, and I remember what I thought about my high school coach that cried once.

Good gracious, they were the odds on favorite to get Hooks from early on...

I would hate to see Freeze's reaction on getting someone good unexpectedly. I wonder if Freeze called Auburn admissions and thanked them for not accepting Hooks' English class (or whatever class it was)?

i'm not aware that freeze's incentives involve

any bonuses for recruiting class rankings. i may be wrong but don't think so.

It would be fitting if the world ended during recruiting season. I 17ing hate it more each year.

Any OM person coming here to defend this will be eaten alive tonight by Mayans.

Yeah, it seems to be too far. But he seems pretty genuine to me. His approach is obviously working.

They'll claim it was "an emotional moment"...

...football coaches always have a license to indulge their "emotional moments." It's society's way of granting the masculine-warrior class permission to act like a woman ever so often. I am just wondering about his other 20-something commitments who didn't merit tears upon them committing. They must feel like Sid Vicious: "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?"

I agree. And I'm not bitching about him at all. I actually kind of like the guy, at least as much as I can like a UM coach. Still, that's just embarrassing.

I'm not bitching either. He hasn't done anything so far for me to despise him, even though I don't like him trying to save everyone.

Recruiting brings out the worst in everyone.

My wife has "emotional moments" too. Like clock work, those moments seem to come once every 30 days. Anyone else familiar with this phenomenon?

Freeze is a thespian! On a phone call? Were those tears or a bad reception?

This did come from a recruit that lied for five straight days concerning his announcement. This came from a recruit that said State accepted an English class when Auburn didn't. Can we verify that?

Crootin' season. For anyone with half a brain, it's no fun.<object width="420" height="315">
