If you did think it was something and have been involved in the investigation from day one, say that. Just state your damn position.

Like others have said, the NCAA doesn't start a formal investigation without at least a very good idea of what is going on. It's very likely they are simply giving the Newtons and others a chance to lie, a la Bruce Pearl.
