I'm shocked and dismayed. Nagin indicted for corruption.

Not that i'm surprised, but this dude had been through ALOT. I don't agree with his poilitcal affiliation but this dude worked his *** off to try and get that city back on it's feet. All three levels of government were not commumicating well during and after the storm, and Nagin took the fall for most of it. Believe me, he's not the first mayor of that city to be involved in corruption. Paint me as somebody that feels bad for the guy. He should have gotten a medal for the **** he put up with from his own pissed off citizens.

My brother goes to law school in N.O. He text me and said Nagin turning down the federal prosecutors plea is borderline insane. Said he and his sons are gonna get nailed on this one.

Maybe. Maybe not. According to the make-up of the jury. Remember O.J.?

Good point. I think his main reasononing is that it's a federal trial and not a state trial. If someone knows better then me please correct me but that district is more then N.O. and folks from the whole district make up the jury pool. It always seems like the Feds nail the political corruption cases too

Really?

The "three levels" seemed to communicate just fine in Mississippi and Alabama after the storm.
