I'm starting to cheer for Joakim Noah....

Which I never thought would happen. But as Jeff Van Gundy just said, "I like his utter disdain for the Miami Heat- it's fun to watch."

He is one in tents mofo during games vs the Heat.

Yeah I've been liking the guy more and more for the last 3 or so years.

Mainly because of the energy and effort he gives. He's one of those you'd love to have on your team. I really believe he plays harder than anyone else in the league. He's been a big help on my fantasy team as well.

I never thought he would overshadow Al Harford in the NBA, but he has. On a not related note, Demarcus Cousins has had a good season too.

Over shadown Al Horford? He really hasn't. I'm a Hawks fan and Horford is a legit All Star player. He's had a couple of costly injuries the last couple years, which has killed the team. Horford is a steady 18/10 guy every night. He has a deadly 15-20 jump shot and plays great D. He's got to avoid tearing his pectoral majors once he gets healthy. I believe he tore one a couple years ago, and tore the opposite earlier this year.

Side note, Horford and Noah have made 2 All star games a piece. Horford would have 3 maybe 4 by now, if not for injuries. Both are great players though.

I guess overshawdowed is relative to my expectations for both in the NBA. I expected Horford to be a very good NBA player, but I didn't expect Noah to be this established.

Hordford is a better O player, but Noah is better rebounding and D. I didn't expect to say that when they were drafted.

I'm taking Noah over Horford every time. Noah finds ways to impact games that don't show up in the stats. Horford is nice but he isn't going to be someone who can push his teams to a championship. Noah needs another piece and they are right there.

I think he absolutely has overshadowed Horford. Noah is an AllStar on a large market team that is on national TV a lot more than the Hawks.
I am not a fan of the Bulls or Hawks, but I can name 80% of the Bulls' roster. I probably know 3 players for sure who are on the Hawks.
Add to this the fact that Horford has been injured for a ton of games over the years so we dont even hear about him.

The Bulls overshadow the Hawks. Noah is an AllStar on the Bulls- such a player will typically overshadow players on the smaller market team unless there happens to be some transcendent player like James was on the Cavs.

Agree. Horford is a solid player but he is definitely over shadowed. If I'm choosing between the two, I'm going Noah all the way. Noah puts up good offensive numbers but he is one of the best defensive big men in the league and he's a leader. Some feel he should have gotten Defensive Player of the Year over Gasol last year.

I understand and respect yalls opinion it be hard to not pick Noah over the two, especially from an outsiders point of view. I guess I've watched Horford and the Hawks 95%his games since.joining the Hawks. I realize what he means to the team. Noah definitely gets more pub, he's got the bigger market team, plus he's just got (that look) he's different than most. Horford has been a very consistent Big and has got better each year, since he's arrived. Noah and a healthy Horford would be all the Hawks need to be a top 5 team in the league. I really like our new coach. Fun team to watch the way they share the ball. We were well on the way to being the #3 seed in the East and then Horford goes down. Now we're trying to hang on to the 8 spot and make the playoffs.
