They had consistent offense, and it got them exactly as far as it could - winning until they faced an elite pitching staff in a huge park. I'll admit, I'm glad they didn't get as far as we got last year, but kudos nonetheless.

Hopfully our squad next year has a little more pop when we return to oxford to face Eddlesworth Manninghedge, Oglesford Haughten, and Shireford McElsfinkle again.

Thanks for the classy post. I knew earlier in the season that this team had a different feel to it. They were much more laid back and goofy than past teams. Honestly, I'm the happiest for Bianco. He has been an excellent coach who couldn't get the right bounces in previous years, and in a year where his team was picked to finish 6th in the West, he won the damn thing and got the Omaha monkey off his back.

Yep. Grats to the Rebs. Nice showing. You won two games in Omaha...not bad after a 42 year absence. Now I can watch ESPN2 and read the C-L without throwing up. Seriously, your team was good. But I hope it's another 42 years before you go again.
