You're missing Bob Bob Knight's award winning commentary.

And a very spirited second half. They're going into overtime.

That was good basketball. I would like to watch good basketball once again with my team involved. But yes, Bob Knight's commentary was terrible once again.

i wouldn't call what UK plays good basketball. No D, don't share the ball, can't shoot free throws. It's like watching an AAU team.

Simma' down now. I think he means that it was an exciting game. UK had the home court advantage but UPigg came to play. That's a huge win for UPigg and completes the season sweep. The better team won.

Speaking of good basketball, Coach Pitino has UofL clicking on all cylinders heading into March, as he usually does. He is one of the all time greats. It will be a sad day if he decides to hang it up after this season.

I would think the Calipari system.......

Cal looks exhausted after each game. These guys have to have their hand held the entire game.

...has its down side. I think it must leave fans with a bit of an empty feeling. Don't get me wrong. If we had a coach that did that I would LOVE the winning and that is definitely WAY better than what we have right now. But it does seem to me that fielding a brand new team of one-and-done's year after year minimizes the fans ability to really bond with the players. Makes it way too obvious what the real objective is for the players and promotes a sterile, mercenary like atmosphere. Again though, I think I would trade that for our present circumstance, or even stans glory days, in a heartbeat.

They showed a stat yesterday that since 2009 Alabama (Saban) has signed 21 5-star players and Kentucky has signed 24. (Probably using ESPN rankings**)

Interaction during Florida game

Unnamed in-law UK Fan: look at that, 4 guys under the basket watching someone else go up and get the rebound.

Me: I think they focus more on hustle and rebounding when they're sophomores.

Unnamed in-law UK Fan: ...smartass.

Its hard to find that right mix of players when everyone is new every year, and having your point guard be your best player (or think he's your best player) can sometimes be a problem.

The 2012 team was AAU but actually played really good team ball. That was an impressive team.

The 2012 team had a senior and two sophmores that played critical roles. Add a rarity like Kidd Gillchrist (a freshman who was a lock down defender) and arguably the most talented player to ever play at UK and you had one great team.
