It was interesting watching the Gators up by 17 in the 4th with a lot of time left on the clock. They were running the play clock down almost every play trying to limit the time FSU would have to score 3 times. It worked.

Auburn. Although they certainly must have set a record for fumbles, lost and recovered.. and jeeesh the dropped passes, they were in it with a chance to win it in part because they opted for the JWS strategy of “take the points.” They were down by 17 and opted to kick to bring it within 2 scores. And did the same later to make it 17-6.

Certainly we don’t know how the other choice(s) would have turned out as they could have scored a TD, but also they could have run QB and have been stopped in the backfield.

I can’t help but wonder in several of games this year how things would have turned out if we would have managed the game differently.

Where were you with these astute observations after literally every game this year?

Lebby in game coaching decisions are like a bad 2A high school coach following his hunches and totally ignoring any analytics or just basic reasoning.

Lebby is really bad about it but coaches do it regularly. Alabama ran their QB on their final play of the game before punting.

The worst is to watching how many coaches will hand off to a back when they can run the clock out with a knee.
