Beaten #11 Kentucky 3 times, beaten #2 LSU, beaten #25 Arkansas, beaten #3 UF, and lost to #3 Florida 2-1. That's pretty damn impressive.

17 those mother 17ers. They're idiots. They don't understand SEC baseball. All they do is run some numbers through microsoft excel and then make 500 posts about it. Then when you question them about what's the problem and how to fix it, they go silent. They've gone from "Cohen cusses too much!!11" to "Butch needs to be fired11!" to "Cohen doesn't know how to recruit!1!" They just keep getting proven wrong over and over and over again.

When we were 5-10 SEC and were also struggling in mid-week games just to eek out wins, I just felt like the lack of hitting would eventually catch up with us against other teams with good pitching. Central Arkansas still baffles me as that game was their winning pitcher's first start and we couldn't even hit him.

But dang this pitching is salty and when you get a few timely hits and some great defense to overcome the shoddy defense, you may have enough breaks to make a nice run and this team has done just.

Also after watching some of these other SEC teams bat, it is most definitely the equipment change that is primary cause for lower BA. LSU was hitting some dinkers out there today that reminded me of our dinker hitters.

Great job by Cohen, who I have criticized much this year, of piecing it together. Kudos to Butch Thompson. Hope we can keep him a few more years.
