Because in general we're a slow team that's easy to defend on these. Cam isn't quick or agile enough to get free. Simpson needed to be on the floor. We've been seeing problems inbounding for a while. Cost us the ND game last year, almost cost PSU at home last year. And this year a number of times before yesterday. Any idea why we can't run anything to get the ball in?

Don't forget last year though. I still have bad dreams about that PSU inbounds (I think I sat next to you that game?)Because in general we're a slow team that's easy to defend on these. Cam isn't quick or agile enough to get free. Simpson needed to be on the floor.
For the same reason we don't get Cam open we have no inbounds plays despite the fact that Pikell said we have 20 of them well I have never seen one but the problem yesterday is when we got the ball inbounds Mulcahy just waited for the double and then Hyatt received the ball wide open and we know what happened in both casesDon't forget last year though. I include two other factors (IMO) Paul just has these brain freezes at the worst time and Pike just can't figure out screens and other options. He's a "stick to the plan" guy regardless (and I do NOT get that).
Well our inbounds passing is awful because our guys(mostly PM or Caleb) get so tentative in their passing to risk a turnover and not playing loose EVER. Additionally, if 1st option is not available they don't know what to do.Would think the Coach would realize this. Simpson in and Paul out…. who has been playing g-d awful
