I keep up with Indiana sports via their #1 fan, Tricia Whitaker (Apple TV baseball reporter). Great analysis and hits all the angles.

They're favored by Alabama (which we did not play) by 7, so yeah?
I know reason and logic are hard but if bama beats them that spread would change as they played more SEC teams.

like if they played our schedule and played closer games, the spread would change for future games.

Get it?

Who cares about hypotheticals?

My point was that if Indiana is favored by 7 points against the 2nd best team in the SEC, they'd be favored by more against the rest of the conference other than Georgia. Maybe the line would be 9.5 against Ole Miss, who knows, but anyone else on our schedule, the line would be 10 points or more.

"But maybe the line would be different if they'd played a different schedule all year" isn't relevant to the real world question of where Vegas would set the line today if Indiana were playing Texas or Texas A&M tomorrow instead of Alabama.

Your using a damn hypothetical you low iq mother 17er.

If Indiana played out schedule they wouldn’t be double digit favorites in very many games.

Look up how many games Georgia was a favorite in and list the ones where they were double digit favorites. WE’LL WAIT PATIENTLY

On a neutral field, they would be double-digit favorites against everyone we played in 2025, other than Georgia. They have 2 wins (Ohio State and @Oregon) over teams that probably would have won the SEC this year.
Hotter take- If you have watched any of these bowl games then you have realized that the SEC sucks at football

Sorry, bud, but you're kinda making a fool of yourself here. All I said was, "On a neutral field, [Indiana] would be double-digit favorites against everyone we played in 2025, other than Georgia." Given that they are 7-point favorites on a neutral field tomorrow against Alabama, I think it's safe to say that I am correct. Like I already said, if someone wants to say that ackshually Ole Miss would only be a 9.5-point underdog, fine.

Even if you misunderstood my point and thought I was simulating a full hypothetical season, week-to-week, it was nothing to get all pissy about.

Ole Miss is the only opponent (other than Georgia, like I excepted from the beginning) that you can even make an argument for being a single-digit underdog to Indiana. Even if you think A&M or Texas would beat Indiana, the line would be 10 points or more if they were playing on a neutral field tomorrow.

No it absolutely would not if they had played a full SEC Schedule

again, look at georgias spreads and tell me which home games they had where they were favored by 10 points or more!

Again .... my true, uncontroversial statement was "On a neutral field, [Indiana] would be double-digit favorites against everyone we played in 2025, other than Georgia."

There's nothing in that sentence about "but what if they played a full SEC schedule first??" Indiana (the actual team that played in 2025 with its actual 2025 schedule) would be favored by 10+ instead of 7 if they were playing Texas or Texas A&M tonight instead of Alabama.

I don't really know what else to tell you.

Bama is the fourth rank team in the SEC based on the college football playoff rankings. They are playing Indiana on a neutral field and they are 7 1/2 point hundred dogs Oklahoma would be less than a 7 1/2 point underdog if they beat Bama.

bama lost to Oklahoma in the regular season
Texas beat Oklahoma in the regular season

You are really, really, really 17ing stupid

We didn't play Oklahoma in 2025. "On a neutral field, [Indiana] would be double-digit favorites against everyone we played in 2025, other than Georgia."

You're just digging yourself deeper in deeper into a pointless hole.

And yet if Texas were playing Indiana tonight (and I'm talking about the real actual 2025 Indiana and the real actual 2025 Texas, not alternate versions of those teams who played different schedules or had different results), Indiana would be favored by 10 points or more. I'm very sorry that gets your feelings so revved up.

So you just to be clear, you're conceding that Indiana would be favored by 10 points over Texas and Texas A&M?

No, I just made a simple (uncontroversial) statement that "On a neutral field, [Indiana] would be double-digit favorites against everyone we played in 2025, other than Georgia." and you got #triggered and took it in a different direction.

I gave you several offramps to save face, and you just couldn't take them. Again, I'll give you an easy out and ask you how many points Indiana (the real actual 2025 Indiana) would be favored by in a hypothetical neutral site game against Texas. Are you going to argue for single or double digits?

I’m not a pu$$I like you. I’m not trying to save face.

you responded to a post and implied they wouldn’t go 9-3 bc they’d be favored by 10 points on a neutral field.

THE ENTIRE POINT WAS IF THEY PLAYED AN SEC SCHEDULE.

You could have been a man and said they’d go 12-0 or 11-1 or 10-2 but you said something stupid about spreads. You were wrong. You are wrong. You are stupid.

I’ve given you multiple chances to not be stupid but you keep doubling down.

Alabama has played in these games before. It may be a different Bama group. It may be a different Bama coach, but it's still Bama. I think they might be giving the Hoosiers too much credit. But what do I know? Everything has to end.

Indiana is ripe for the upset. bama is very one dimensional, they can not run the ball. Simpson will have tompkay perfect

Alabama's boat racing them

Edited to say, "Either that, or Indiana wins by 35."
