Instead of talk about fixing bowls/playoffs. The NCAA needs to fix this first.

This is absolute BullS**t that it is such a given that Dan Mullen would be nuts to NOT leave MSU and go to Florida; Or that Bobby Petrino or Jim Harbaugh should leave where they are to go to Florida. It is crap that Alabama can believe they can hire off anyone's coach for Football and Kentucky can get anyone's Basketball coach.

I know there is not much that can be done to prevent the coaching domino shuffle, but this system where 120 institutions basically support 10 or 12 is what is really broken. I know they can't collude to prevent coach movement, but maybe they need to make some rules about facility limits or something. It is just sickening to listen to all this conjecture that MSU is basically not the Bulldogs, but Bulldogs Poop that just needs to be scraped off the bottom on Dan's shoes. There is also no way to change that perception or status. We will forever be a stepping stone and that <17>in' blows big donkey dicks.

Now maybe Dan loves MSU and Starkville. Maybe he sees that he can earn an average of 2.5 million per year over the next 15 to 20 years versus 5 years of 4 million and burning out and is happy with that. Maybe he wants to raise his family in one place. Maybe he doesn't have a burning desire to win a NC at any cost and thinks the challenge of changing the Stepping Stone image is something worth while. Until that happens, we are dicked.

That MSU's own fans accept that he is probably going to move on is CRAP. That we accept it is the smart thing to do, again CRAP. That it actually is the smart thing to do means the system is broke.

that wants to pretend the playing field is level. Many of the rules they have are for competitive balance. But they are mostly ******** also.

Oregon has proven over the last decade that you can have a major benefactor and that money can change the perception and chances for the school's football team. Phil Knight and Nike has made Oregon a desirable place to go even though they are not one of the pillars of NCAA Football history. There just aren't enough Billionaires around that want to spend gobs of money to improve a schools athletic program.

I understand there is no solution. I am a conservative capitalist. It just sucks that there is no real way for schools to change their stars. We still don't have to like it.
