they re-acquire Mike McKenzie to help out with db injuries.

Source: Saints to sign McKenzie

Less than a week after signing veteran cornerback Chris McAlister, the Saints now are planning to sign former cornerback Mike McKenzie, according to a source close to the situation. McKenzie played for the Saints last season but suffered a major knee injury that sidelined him the rest of the season.

Some believed it might be a career-ending knee injury, but McKenzie apparently has regained his speed and is ready to play. He worked out during the summer for Seattle, and now will have to learn a new defensive scheme in New Orleans, where he played from 2005 to 2008. The unbeaten Saints will need all of the help they can get in preparation for next Monday night's game against New England.

Fortunately, the Saints are expecting positive news regarding their other players with injuries. Running back Reggie Bush (knee), defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis (knee) and cornerback Jabari Greer (groin) -- none of whom played Sunday against Tampa Bay --- all are expected to play against the Patriots.

Why's it so questionable? The secondary has been decimated with injuries so they got another body that is familiar with the team, a lot of the players, and can pick up the system fairly easily and quickly. Its not like he's gonna step in and be the #1 CB when everyone is healthy. He's just an extra capable body.

we are down 4 CB's right now. We ended the game yesterday with Jenkins the only CB and 4 safeties playing in the nickle set. Welcome Back Predator

Rex Grossman throwing a 30 yd pass to Bernard Berrian and a Saints DB letting him run in for the TD. Then I realized that it wasn't Mike McKenzie, but Fred Thomas instead.

However, I was never overly impressed with Mike McKenzie before his injury. I'm curious to see how he'll be used and how well he'll perform. Ultimately, I just hope a once perceived "career-ending" knee injury doesn't prohibit him from being productive. (Same goes for Chris McAlister)

in week 11 there aren't an abundance of DB's. You take what you can, and if he can contribute then great. As stated by Big D, They're 10-0, dont question ANYTHING
