What a strange time to tell this story, but it's the story I was always told. Mama loved Freeze, Coach Nix, and Coach Wommack, and Chris informed the Ole Miss staff the Sunday before signing day that he would sign with Ole Miss. He called them at about 3:45 in the morning on signing day to inform them he was signing with MSU. Chris also signed a LOI to EMCC and I firmly believe that had he not qualified and gone there, he would've signed with Ole Miss the 2nd time around.

I do not understand how we can sit here and accuse our own player (who even said that we were the better place for him) of not telling the whole truth. He stated something pretty straightforward. I take him for what he said: we won and he's happy he is here!
i get tired of all the "little green Martian" stories out there. There is absolutely nothing unbelievable about what Chris said took place. I don't know if perhaps the person interviewing Chris mixed up which parent wanted OM and which wanted us, but to deny the other part of what Chris said is to call him a liar. I'm not going there!!

Since I've started reading/posting on message boards, I've learned that for 99% of posters nothing is more important than being right. I've also learned it's easier to win the lottery than to get someone to admit they were wrong.
I have no problem admitting I was wrong. That was a couple of hours after it happened and I was told incorrectly. Sorry.

Looking at how much ground Freeze and staff were able to make in 2 months, I believe that 2 more years would be more than sufficient.
