I mean it kind of takes money to get great players.
No doubt. I think I’m more interested in the part about “people that know what to do”…. Not really sure that is in place at state. I’m sure we could most certainly throw more money at the roster but I’m not sure Lebby knows what to do with it.I mean it kind of takes money to get great players.
Exactly.I mean it kind of takes money to get great players.
You are using HS ratings man. Come on.But the players they bought are almost all 2 or 3 stars. How much did they cost ? How much did they have to pay the JMU players to transfer ? Mendoza was a 2 star. Its insane.
They didn’t get these players due to NILI mean it kind of takes money to get great players.
That is absolutely hilarious. It’s always been about the money. Nothing has changed there.Indiana is paying ‘enough’. So are we.
Indiana has a great coach. We don’t.
And I can guarantee you they didn’t load the NIL boat last year…….and still made the playoff.
That alone renders the ‘it’s all money’ crowd wrong.
They've had public interviews of players disclosing their NIL offers from CigThey didn’t get these players due to NIL
Its all just estimates, but Indiana ranked 12th in the nation in football NIL spending in both 2024 and 2025.Indiana is paying ‘enough’. So are we.
Indiana has a great coach. We don’t.
And I can guarantee you they didn’t load the NIL boat last year…….and still made the playoff.
That alone renders the ‘it’s all money’ crowd wrong.
Indiana has more living alumni than any school in the nation. Over 800k,with half of that living in Indiana:Indiana is paying ‘enough’. So are we.
Indiana has a great coach. We don’t.

Why do you hate America? So, let me understand this. A billionaire is telling you it is not all about the money. And some of you guys believe him? Good luck.
I don’t. Just making an observation. When a billionaire tells you it is not about money I find that funny. Why do you hate America?
Money may not buy happiness, but it can buy me a boat!!This is the same as hearing that money can't buy happiness from the people who have enough money to buy happiness.
Yes, great organization and personnel make a difference, but let's not act like you can get those without money.
Isn’t money one of your favorite tools to use for good (cough evil)????So, let me understand this. A billionaire is telling you it is not all about the money. And some of you guys believe him? Good luck.
What he’s saying is you can have all the money in the world but if you don’t have the right people in place, it won’t make a difference.I don’t. Just making an observation. When a billionaire tells you it is not about money I find that funny.
Thank you for that. I can read. I happen to think he is being disingenuous. But that is just my opinion, and it is probably wrong. But that is the great thing we both can see what he is saying, and interpret it in different ways. Dad bless America. What he’s saying is you can have all the money in the world but if you don’t have the right people in place, it won’t make a difference.
It’s him giving credit to someone else.
A ton of money is necessary but not sufficient.
Wish it would buy MSU some OT’sMoney may not buy happiness, but it can buy me a boat!!
That will help them long term, sure. But they didn’t just snap their fingers and give a bunch of NIL last year. Doesn’t work that way. Cuban helped out this year, and I’m sure a lot more people will join in now.Indiana has more living alumni than any school in the nation. Over 800k,with half of that living in Indiana:

Indiana University is now home to the largest living alumni community in the country, marking a historic milestone that highlights IU’s nationwide reach...news.iu.edu
Compare that to Mississippi State that has 150-200k living alumni. It's absurd to think we can raise similar amounts of NIL.
Lebby might not be the answer but if we had 4 slightly above average o line and 2 more d line this year we when 7 games easily. No doubt. I think I’m more interested in the part about “people that know what to do”…. Not really sure that is in place at state. I’m sure we could most certainly throw more money at the roster but I’m not sure Lebby knows what to do with it.
So where the 17 do you think mark cubans money is going? They didn’t get these players due to NIL
Top 15 in NIL for 2 years you dumb dumbThat will help them long term, sure. But they didn’t just snap their fingers and give a bunch of NIL last year. Doesn’t work that way. Cuban helped out this year, and I’m sure a lot more people will join in now.
What are you trying to say? I dont know about anyone "snapping their fingers," but they have spent a significant amount of money on football NIL, and signed over 30 transfer players for both the 2024 and 2025 seasons. That will help them long term, sure. But they didn’t just snap their fingers and give a bunch of NIL last year. Doesn’t work that way. Cuban helped out this year, and I’m sure a lot more people will join in now.
It's absurd to think that they are all giving. Also absurd to think most are giving. They've been a basketball school and not until recently really put money into football. I know Indiana fans that just started watching them some last year and then every game this year. They could have cared less about their football team until they started winning.Indiana has more living alumni than any school in the nation. Over 800k,with half of that living in Indiana:

Yet they are playing for a national champions. No one is saying they aren't buying players. It's the fact they haven't put in and bought the players on a level that's even equal to a school in Mississippi has.Top 15 in NIL for 2 years you dumb dumb
Now do Miami.Indiana has more living alumni than any school in the nation. Over 800k,with half of that living in Indiana:

Isn't Miami small on alumni but large on fan baseNow do Miami.
So do you think Indiana, with the same exact roster, would be undefeated and in the national championship game with Jeff Lebby and staff as head coach?Thank you for that. I can read. I happen to think he is being disingenuous. But that is just my opinion, and it is probably wrong. But that is the great thing we both can see what he is saying, and interpret it in different ways. I had some long explanation of my thoughts on money versus coaching these days, but why be verbose? No I do not think that. I hope that answers your question. So do you think Indiana, with the same exact roster, would be undefeated and in the national championship game with Jeff Lebby and staff as head coach?
Top 15 in NIL giving is a lot GD HIGHER than Mississippi state is givingYet they are playing for a national champions. No one is saying they aren't buying players. It's the fact they haven't put in and bought the players on a level that's even equal to a school in Mississippi has.
Wrong! Our NIL is in outstanding shape. Or so I’ve been assured by a few posters in this board. **Top 15 in NIL giving is a lot GD HIGHER than Mississippi state is giving
