  • Only 4 SEC schools have ever won a World Series: Georgia ('90), LSU ('91, '93, '96, '97, '00, '09), *Missouri ('54), and USC ('10,'11) *Missouri was in Big 8 in '54. So technically only 3
  • The last 5 CWS Finals have included an SEC school (Georgia '08, LSU '09, USC '10, USC '11, USC, '12)
  • Mississippi State has the most appearances (9) in the CWS without a CWS Title in the SEC (Florida with 8 is second).
  • Kentucky is the only current SEC school to have never been to the CWS.
  • Missouri and Ole Miss have the longest running droughts of being away from the CWS in the SEC. ('64 and '72 were their last trips respectively)
  • Mississippi State is the only SEC school to make an appearance in the CWS in each of the last 5 decades (70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s)
