Iredell County 2025 Realignment

Mooresville , Lake Norman will be 7A
South Iredell 6A
Statesville, North Iredell and West Iredell 4A/5A
Pine Lake - Unknown
Langtree which adding football is unknown

My Ideal Conference for Mooresville is - Staying in the conference on or Mooresville, LN, West Forysth, Davie, Reagan in a conference

NPC: West Iredell, North Iredell, Statesville, Bandys, Bunker Hill (I would assume they will be in a similar conference which they are in)

Depending on how Charter school are handle then depending they play up to 7A or move up 1 - I would assume PLP , Langtree will be in similar conference that they currently in or some form.

Why would Mooresville and LKN end up with Forsyth County schools? That's an hour drive. They'll stay with CMS schools likely.

I think you'll see alot of split conferences with 7 classifications.

Mooresville n LN will fight not to go back to a charlotte conference - We lost a TON of money to our athletic program i think like 23 million from all sports so I think football was like 10 million or whatever loss so We will fight to get into a forsyth county conference and Or fight to stay within the conference we are currently in but would be like a 6A/7A conference

It makes no geographical sense to stick them with Forsyth, and I'm sure Forsyth leaders will advocate for that not to happen. I could see staying where they are now in a 6A/7A.

Forsyth county did fight for it not to happen last go around so it will be a hard fight for it to happen but Again If I’m Mooresville I do not wanna be in a conference where we bleed money n are in the hole 23 million or whatever it was.

Competition wise Mooresville n LN would finish 3rd-4th every year if we had a remake of Imeck in some fashion so Forsyth one or Current Conference just turns into 6A/7A conference which I’m ok with bc This conference currently fits us the best n it’s competitive across the board
