Please read again. I didn’t say he was better. I said he was every bit as entertaining.
I really like our radio guys. I rarely listen to the TV guys anymore.
I could have sworn it was Alabama in 2003. A bad Mike Shula coached Alabama team blanked us in Starkville, 30 something to zip.
It was. I managed to convince someone who did his entire undergrad and most of a masters degree at State and has never been to a football game to come to that one. After the game I told him I wouldn't blame him if he never went to another game.
I listened to that post game show on my drive back to my apartment and it summarized my feelings entirely.
I was relegated to radio today. Wyatt is awesome .
That's legendary but I also like, "The quarterback and receiver weren't on the same page there, but hey it's only week 11".
I can’t stand Chizik on the call or as a host on a show. I muted them and played HAILSTATE app over my sound bar and got the pleasure of hearing Matt share my frustrations. It truly is a great way to watch the games. I chose to do it this way instead of coming here and posting about how bad chiz sucks and he shouldn’t be allowed on campus because I don’t like him like some posters do about barstool sports***

I really enjoy our game calling combo. I think they complement each other well and do a phenomenal job.
It was Croom's last egg bowl. I think sixpack kept the transcipt of it, but you can google and it is online because that game he had a whole list of things he said. He was not holding back at that egg bowl.
He even gave his address in Tupelo for the drive of the game
The Jim Bob Cooter game. I think he threw his only td of his career against us.
Was it the LSU game when they put in 3rd string and Jack quips - welp LSU has put in their 3rd string, that should even things up
he said the same variation of that three times. An Alabama game during the Wayne Madkin era, an LSU game, and the 2008 Egg Bowl. It was in pure disgust at that Egg Bowl, and that wasn't the only snarky comments he made that game. He wish dishing them out all game long
Jack was the definition of reaching that point and level of confidence in life where you have absolutely no more 17's to give.
That day the one I liked the most was "Relf throws a beautiful pass deep downfield" this made it sound like it was a long completion, but...then Jack says, "it wasn't within 20 yards of any eligible receiver, but it was a beautiful pass". Jack was saying everything I wanted to say that day. True gem he was.

I was almost positive it was this one too. He had some really funny takes that day. Adam Carlson took some licks that day. He 100 percent said the sonic drive of the game was him headed to Tupelo that day but
He 100 percent said it during the egg bowl for crooms last game. If he said it during an Alabama game then it happened twice.
Literally, everything that crossed his mind when it looked like State was imploding yet again. It wasn’t so much a bunch of memorable one-liners as it was just an obviously aggravated dude calling it how he saw it.
I listened today for the first time in a long time. Perhaps he just had an off day, but he was not good.
I don't remember the words he used, but when we 17'd around and got that False Start penalty in the red zone and then a sack to force the 51 yard FG miss, Matt was, shall we say, a tad bit miffed.
What I respect is that he doesn't hold his emotions back when we are doing really stupid or silly ****, whether it's a player or a coach.
I think it was any time we got shut out.

He's not very good at it. Lost his trail of thought and just ummmed his way into nonsensical statements twice before I muted it.
I busted out laughing last night when Matt said something to the effect of “and Petrino is disgusted after that penalty, well, I remember when some people were disgusted with Petrino too”.
I like the fact our announcers call it like they see it and aren't just sunshine pumpers. Don't try to polish a turd and tell me it's gold.
He definitely doesn’t seem to be a Petrino fan. The best one was when Petrino got the penalty and Matt said something along the lines of that’s why he’s an interim coach.
