Is anybody else surprised that Leach isn't as awful as advertised?

I mean, he is clearly not a polished broadcaster but he sounds comfortable doing color and is very, very knowledgeable on the game. He is light years better than Herm Edwards.

Leach has a grating voice and it is jarring to change from Musberger/Herbstreit to this game for the dropoff in broadcasting talent but I guess my expectations were about as low as it gets. Mike Leach has exceeded those expectations thus far.

"he's not?" but you're spot on about Herm... he was god-awful...

i like him too. im tired of announcers who are too worried about how their voice sounds instead of saying things that make sense. leach provides good insight and doesnt stumble over his words like herm edwards does.
