Did the rumor also include him making straight A's last semester and had perfect attendance? I hope so...

I could be wrong, but IF he goes undrafted and no deals from foreign leagues, he could come back but he can't enter draft afterjunior yearand come back his senior year.

that he has moved back into 21 Apartments, and told him that the "pro thing just didn't work out" and that he will be playing for State next year. Take it for what it's worth. Kind of hard for me to believe until I actually see something official. Anyways, is there a way he could play next year?

He should have no problem returning to the team assuming his grades are where they need to be and he hasn't done anything to jeopardize his amateur status.

by staying in the draft? And I definitely don't see us getting the same treatment as Kentucky.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who sawDee pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

If he goes through the draft without getting picked, assuming he didn't take any money, then he is eligible to play for us in the Fall.

so what's the point of the deadline date? That's just stupid. There is no reason to not stay in the draft.

but weren't drafted you could come back to college. My concern is that the rule may have changed. I know that now the NCAA doesn't give you as long as the NBA does to decide to withdraw from the draft, so they've obviously made some changes to the rule. But if that part of the rule hasn't changed and he's not drafted, he would be able to return to MSU. Not that it matters. I doubt we'll ever see him again either way. I don't know if Stans just has a knack for recruiting head cases or has a knack for turning guys into head cases, but we've had plenty of them the last 5-6 years.

I know at one point you could return if you hadn't taken money or hadn't been selected.

This article makes it sound like they have changed the rule, but I thought I heard Bracky say something in the past about returning if you don't get picked. But it may have just been that, in the past.

but he does indeed seem to have a pretty eccentric personality . I think when people say Stansbury recruits a certain type of player it means he has to take chances on guys that the big boys dont have to take chances on.

Just a quick glance on Dee's twitter page makes me think he is a bit of a head case -

Ithink he can come back but since he did not withdraw by the deadline date he cannot enter the draft again until his senior year or something like that.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/w...bility_for_the_NBA_Draft

"Early entry" player

Players who are not automatically eligible, but wish to be drafted, must declare their eligibility no later than 60 days before the draft. After this date, "early entry" players may attend NBA pre-draft camps and individual team workouts to show off their skills and obtain feedback regarding their draft positions. A player may withdraw his name from consideration from the draft at any time before the final declaration date, which is 10 days before the draft. Note, however, that effective with the 2010 draft, college players must withdraw no later than May 8 to retain their college eligibility. A player who declares for the draft will lose his college eligibility, even if he is not drafted, if any of the following is true:

* The player signs with an agent.
* The player has declared for and withdrawn from a previous draft. Although the NBA collective bargaining agreement allows a player to withdraw twice, the NCAA only allows a player to enter the draft once without losing eligibility.

I also have a feeling we will begoing through another season of wondering when a player will be ruled eligible by the NCAA.</p>
