so y'all really believe money flows from a Sportsbook to a collective to a player. Then the Sportsbook controls the player?

maybe one guy here or there but I can't imagine that's wide spread to make the whole sport a farce.
No I don’t think the sportsbooks control the players I just think they fund the NIL collectives. I don’t think millionaires could keep up with this model especially everywhere. Let’s say you’ve got 500 million of the 150 billion going back to recruiting. I could see the brands getting 50-75 million for recruiting and us getting 5-10 something around those lines. Not cheating players just revenue funneling. All they need is public interest the gambling handles itself without any in game interference. Ole Miss for example will generate close to a billion dollars less in gambling revenue than say, Alabama over the course of a season just because more people will be interested in Alabama.

Do you still do this every night? Hurl insults like you’re the alpha around here? I’ve been gone a while. Your gang has shrunk.
I only hurl insults at those who refuse to use common sense.

You said we have no chance. Ole Miss has proved we do.

It’s called secret societies and they all belong. It’s how they pull the wool over our eyes in everything while they enjoy our money flowing to them. Sports, media, govt, police, courts, media, health, actors, musicians, athletes .,, Everything on the tell lie vision is scripted. Period. It’s all out there for us to see, but we’ve been conditioned not to believe what our eyes see.

This is not a debate about Mississippi states chances to win the National title my guy. Take a post off from that and maybe remove those goggles for ten minutes. This isn’t even about that.

Your exact words copied and pasted "Sorry in advance for not knowing how to reply. There’s no reason to care anymore. Even if this system was legit we have no chance. But when u realize that we are one of the monster trucks not named grave digger it becomes even harder to care."

Not true paindont. I’m here to have a discussion about what’s ruining the sport. You wanna hijack and make it about me questioning ms state being relevant could you at least wait until the post season is over when we are actually involved in the sport

Late to this thread, so I will just mention what it doesn't look like anyone else has said yet-
The SECNetwork does not exist to facilitate live in-game betting.

The SECNetwork existed before it was legal to bet on college games.
It exists as a network because it is profitable to ESPN and the SEC.

The fact that gambling now exists is separate from why that network exists.

Yea typically these type of changes are implemented over a decade or so to facilitate that narrative.

This is the type of response that a conspiracist says- the baseless claim was shown to be baseless, so a justification response is given which can't ever be shown to be true or false.

Setting aside the justification attempt, you said typically?...as in this is a frequent and common thing to the point that there is an established trend? Really?

This simply isn’t true. The only reason ole miss is in the playoffs is bc of NIL.
Meh, teams that spent more than OM didn't make it and Indiana, who likely spent less than us, is the number one seed. Kiffin evaluated the portal well and was smart with NIL, he likely paid his QB1 similar money that we paid our 3rd team QB who took 5 snaps. Couple good evaluations with good coaching and a favorable schedule, and you have a team that is a play off contender.

Had Kiffin been coaching us, we'd likely be 9-3.

Do you really think they would implement it all at once. Could I not use the same justification to say, since 2018 we have gone from 0-39 legal states? The timeline doesn’t work out in favor of your argument. If anything it hurts it. But I appreciate you thinking about it legitimately.

I don’t think it’a fair to claim that I was proven to be baseless just because the change was implemented over several years. Maybe you believe that. But I certainly don’t think it closes the book on the argument.

You quoted yourself...I am guessing you meant to quote me, based on your response to your response.

Your claim isn't baseless due to it being implemented over multiple years.
Your claim is baseless due to there being no known proof of it being true.
Has the SEC or ESPN said it is true? Has a betting site said it is true?

I have no idea if it would be implemented all at once. There is no established evidence of it being a long term plan or a short term plan.

You are jumping to conclusions based on assumptions.

I still want State to win, but I am now way more excited about watching my Grandkids play their sports. About to go see my Granddaughter’s high school basketball game this morning and I am way more excited about that than anything going on with College sports. I have lost of a lot of interest and most of my respect for today’s College athletes. The current portal / NIL system has killed it.

I’ve already made it clear that I don’t know how to reply. No one has said it’s true. The basis of my claim is that it is being hidden from us so that would be the case.

Yeah. I know this is the basis of your claim. That is why I said your claim is baseless.
The word baseless means that it lacks a base.

Your claim is that the truth is being hidden from us, which is also why I said your view is that of a classic conspiracist.

It isn't only just 'technically' a conspiracy theory...that is all it is.
It lacks any proof, it doesn't align up with history, and your justification for it not lining up with history is a claim that Can't be proven or disproven.

It is a textbook conspiracy theory.

IU did not spend less than us. They have Eli Lilly bankrolling them and they bought a new LOS with some very solid players plus Mendoza. where you are correct is Cig can evaluate talent and they don’t waste money like spending 700-800 K on third string qbs who hold clip boards.
