Is it just me, or do the Bears seem to be taking this Egg Bowl loss

Not personally. It was a close loss in Starkville. The only frustrating thing is freeze didn't have the balls to try to win with 2 minutes left. It's not like we were run out of the stadium, we even had more yards. I do believe home field advantage is worth 10 points in the egg bowl. I don't buy into the "3rd string QB" garbage. Russell was available, he was 3rd string. We just lost, on a good play at the end, that **** happens in football, especially when you don't win it when you have opportunities. It's not really much of a setback like both sides are making it. Plenty of good and great teams lose close games on the road in the SEC. All I do is nod my head and agree we lost a tough one.

Well keep nodding and agreeing with the third string Russel is available bull **** while he can't lift his right arm in the sideline. Dameon Williams was third string and played 80% of the game, yet tsun couldn't do a damn thing about our true freshman Qb. When Dak came in it was ball game over, there was no answer for Dak and our offense. Y'all keep telling yourself you are better than us, it's what y'all need to tell yourselfs to keep up the we are superior ******** , meanwhile we will keep BEATIN THAT *** with far inferior talent.

Notice Optimus Prime blamed the loss on "The Rivalry", not the better team won. "Anything can happen" is not admitting anything except losing was fluke, could've happened to anyone, etc.

What? Russell was in sweatpants, you doofus. You guys just make **** up don't you. "Hey, let's act like Russell was available and that Damien was their 1st string QB!". "Sounds good to me.". "Now, Vicky, TSUN, off to the Bulldog boards!!1!!". You guys are horrible.

At the end of the year - it could easily be argued we are the better team in 2013. 2 weeks ago - there was no way.

What do you want me to say? Ole miss football is done because we lost the egg bowl? In this rivalry you try to steal a road game. We had a chance and blew it. Yes that sucks, but it didn't change our bowl position and I doubt recruiting will be effected much if any. I try to be objective here, and a hard fought loss for the away team is not shameful. The away team rarely even puts up a good fight. Honestly I'm happy for Prescott. I just wish his success wasn't at our expense. By the way, I don't get any joy from state losing. Personally, I would rather whoop your *** when you're 11-0. Maybe I'm a different breed of fan. I post here because we don't have a board like this to discuss football in a frank matter. If i posted similar thread on the spirit and I get the same "state is inferior" crap and that's just not where either program is or will ever be in my lifetime.

What are you talking about? All I said was don't make **** up to try and make excuses. Russell was not available yet you said he was available and 3rd string. That is made up. I don't give a **** about the rest of your rabbling. Just don't make **** up.

Ignoring your moronic comments about Tyler Russell, Dak played 8 minutes and had 150 yards of offense. What do you think the score would have been had he played the whole game?

Who did you want playing in the egg bowl Russell of Williams. I'm pretty sure you were the one bitching about Russell playing against Arkansas. If you didn't, you were in the minority.

Both teams had lots of highs and lows

We ended on a 2 week high, they ended on a two week low. Let's hope for another.

Totally agree DS, Ole Miss trended down the last few weeks and we went in the

other direction especially on defense. MSU has a decent team right now and not a defense I would particularly look forward to facing. Something is amiss in Oxford. I am not sure if folks have just caught on to Freeze's offense or what but something has changed, they haven't been able to throw the mid to long passes lately and it has really hurt them and the lack of a power running game kills them. Teams have also tackled their long hand offs to receivers better. Ole Miss has some very good players but as we have talked about all year they are not deep at too many positions. We are a deeper team in most positions but maybe not as talented at the first team level but not far off right now.

I like where we stand and I like our prospects for next year!

It doesn't matter what I wanted....it doesn't change the fact that our 3rd string QB played 3+ quarters and we still beat you. He was our 3rd string QB whether a random fan wanted him to be or not. Quit changing the subject, your debating points are awful and sound like sore loser garbage.

all I need to know. I think this one cuts a little deeper than the 2009 game. They thought they were going to slay the Evil Yankee Mullen one final time and drive off into the Gator Bowl sunset.

It's absolutely glorious how they were man-jacking Nkimdouchie, Moncrief and Treadwell, only to watch them flop like a shot turkey. I think some of the red-cuppers felt that those 3 were literally super heroes and could beat State by themselves.
