moot. However, if I were Boone, I'd tell him that we appreciate what he has done with the program and that we look forward to continued success. However, as we rewarded him and his staff last year with substantial raises and concessions, we will not be making additional adjustments this year. If you determine that you would prefer to run the football program at the University of Kansas, then we will understand and wish you luck.
It's not nasty (which Boone could be considering the underachievement & the economic/unemployment situation), but it doesn't bend either. Call his bluff. He'll fold and be your ***** or he'll leave and you're better off without a coach leveraging you each year - even bad ones.
