6'6 225lb Junior DE KJ Henry has 50 plus college offers including Alabama... As many football people know, Alabama doesn't just offer up a scholarship to players from the state of North Carolina. In fact, I can't think of anybody in recent years who have received a scholarship from Bama. They did have some interest in Shy Tuttle but it was interest only... Correct me if I'm wrong... I've also heard the rumors of Alabama recruits feeling the ghost of former players during their visits. That's weird; but they are a dynasty. Clemson has a great shot at KJ too because Dabo is captivating recruits with his fun but serious approach to football.

For the record:
West Forsyth has produced some impact DE's the past few years, 6'6 Alex McAlister(Florida) is now with the Philadelphia Eagles. 6'5 Jalen Dalton is starting for UNC and will be on display against Geogia week one. I've personally seen all 3 a lot...and KJ Henry has better motor, better speed, incredible leader and more athletic with a great head on his shoulders on and off the field. Good Luck! KJ Henry.

Can't really speak to KJ being the best player in he state as I haven't seen enough of the teams to make that assessment. I know a lot of the colleges we visited or spoke with are very high on Zamir White (RB) and S Green (LB). It's an honor just to be considered as one of the best, in my humble opinion. I can respond to a few of your points.

-My son was a 9th grader and played on Varsity at ND Shy when he was a senior. I can tell you that Shy Tuttle was recruited by everyone who thought they even had a remote chance of landing his services. They really value D lineman at Bama so I would have to say their interest was legit enough in the sense they offered him a scholarship.

-Out of curiosity, I checked the Alabama website and saw that 3 NC players are currently on their roster. The states of Alabama, Texas and Florida dominate their roster.

-If any stadium is haunted, it's Tennessee....too many bodies buried under the field by their forensic lab department.

-I got to spend time at IMG this summer with my son and watched them practice in between his kicking competitions, I really think Mallard Creek or some of our other top dynasty teams could probably hold their own against that squad. To that point.....have you guys ever stopped to ponder how great a college team would be if all the top talent stayed in the state. NC classes of 2017 and 2018 have more than a few guys listed in the top 10 nationally at their respective positions. We could field one heck of a team, would be fun to discuss if nothing else.

Alabama recently offered these players:

Josh Brown: Mallard Creek

BJ Edmonds: committed to Alabama
Cornell Powell: Greenville Rose
Landon Dickerson: South Caldwell
Justin Foster: Crest
Hamsah Nasirildeen:Concord
Zamir White: Scotland County

Can you plese research before you say stupid stuff?

Jeoffrey Pagan from Asheville. Jarran Reid from Goldsboro. Heck there is a fullback/hback from Pisgah (Michael Parrot) that has committed to walk-on at Alabama next season.

He is not the best player in the state by any measure..Could he eventually end up being one of the best..Maybe.

Go look up Justin Foster and Zamir White. Then get back to me.

There is a dude over in Scotland County named Zamir White, may wanna check him out before crowning someone the best player in the state.
Also Foster at Crest too.

Riley Ferguson had Nick Saban on the phone asking him to come down to bama and throw in front of him before he committed..He was that sure Riley was going to commit to the tide. To say the least, Ferguson was also offered by Bama.

I think quite a few kids from NC have been offered by Bama. We have some serious talent in this state. Of course it isn't like the Miami or Houston metro areas but we have some real good talent that many programs around the country want.

KJ is a good athlete but for right now he's too undersized to b considered "best in the state." He maybe 220 so unless he's gained 20 lbs since Nike the opening..there's no way he's 220. I was standing beside him at check in..and at best he's 6'4..maybe 200. He has the potential to b dominant so for right now let's rephrase that as "one of the best in his class" in the state of NC.

you and Forsyth really never fail to amaze me with your constant hypefesting and trolling you conduct on here, along with your lack of knowlege...

KJ Henry is very good, but Zamir White has been known as the top prospect since last year...

Shy was offered by every school in the country. Known him since he played little league for Midway, as well as older brother Tevin. Next...

West Forsyth is the most overrated program in the state every year regardless of classification...

A lot of folks want even offer White because they have no chance so why waste his time or theirs. I'm sure the young man from wf is good but please don't put him in the same category as White at this point. Not fair to him.

Wouldn't it be easier to say, XYZ is the best in the state at his position than the best overall player. Sometimes those guys on D don't get the credit they deserve. Kickers and punters rarely get the credit they deserve, even worse for long snappers as you never hear about them unless they screw up.....anyway, top players by position might be an entertaining discussion.
