My guess is that he definitely redshirts this year and then will likely be suspended some number of games next season in his RFr year because of whatever his involvement was with the disassociated booster.
360, speaking of redshirts....I am really wishing we hadn't played Cedric Jiles against JSU in the opener. Has he seen the field since? Or has he been on special teams? If special teams, then I digress, but if that was his only action I hate that we wasted a possible redshirt for him. I think he will start next year at CB. What are your thoughts on him?
Jiles has a broken hand. He played in the JSU game as well as Auburn and Troy. I think the kid has a bright future with us and will definitely be in the CB rotation next year with Love and Calhoun.
In the agility drills, Redmond looks like the next Deion Sanders. But in 7v7 drills, he looks pitiful. Jiles is just the opposite. When it matters, he balls out. Nick has the potential, he just has a lot of learning to do.
Jiles just needs experience. He's going to be a good'un. Hindsight is 20/20 and we can't predict injuries. Blame the injuns.
Thread hijack: I was looking at our roster after I verified that Jiles played at Troy and we are a very young football team. Banks and Slay will be a huge loss, granted (as well as a couple of other players); but we return a TON of experience next year, especially in the trenches.

IMO, Justin Cox is a must have in this class(excellent chance that we get him) to fill one of the CB spots. Rumored to be bumping up to a 5* on a few of the sites. Everytime I have watched them play this year, he is absolutely all over the field making plays from the safety position.
The spot I'm most concerned about is strong safety... I am honestly surprised we haven't seen Arrington getting time at that spot...
