Just a thought - we hear Mullen talk alot about eliminating the "big play" so to some degree I wonder if he's instructed Wilson to play more of a bend but don't break kinda of defense? I have no clue so just wanted to throw it out there.
That doesn't excuse our lack of adjustments, but up until this year we've been pretty successful with the same scheme.
So what's the difference? I think we are playing better QB's overall and its our total inability to ever get pressure rushing 4 guys (and usually even 5). I never see a QB with happy feet against us and when you remove the fear of getting hit from a QB's mind, you make that QB much more effective.
