Is the difference between 4-6 and 6-4...

Not moving Cox to safety after the OSU game? My thought is how poor Cox has played at CB combined with Whitley at safety would have been enough to overcome some of Mullen's Mullens.

Is there no transition from CB to S? For a JUCO All-American at S?

Here's the CB roster
Love
Calhoun
Redmond (1/2 year)
Jiles
Cleveland
Irvin-Sills
Myles

In my opinion

The turf toe that sidelined Dak in the spring is the reason. It prevented him from winning the job then and making Mullen realize what kind of offensive team he was really going to have.

Our

offense's execution is why we've failed over and over and over, this season.

Dak wasn't going to win the job in the spring. No chance whatsoever.

Regardless of winning the job, Dak would've been much more prepared to take over and we likely would've beat Auburn, at the least.

and Dan might've had the guts to try Dak sooner against OSU, too.

As ****** as our offense has been especially in the second halves, our special team play has cost Us at least two games.

S is a replay of RB to me. If our young guys aren't going to play over perk at RB then it's not happening anywhere else. He wouldn't allow Nickoe to be pulled. Though I think those two swaps would be light years better for the team. A players parent told me Mullen is loyal to upper classmen almost to a fault. So far I believe that is very true. The only exception is TR/DP. Imagine if TR wouldn't have had the concussion, is there a chance that Dak would still be sitting? Gator Bowl last year? Refusing to play anyone but Tyler even after 4 picks.

We make mistakes in all facets of the game to kill any momentum. We do not descriminate. Not a whole lot of disciplined play. Add to that the offensive play calling juggernot**

I'm feeling better about the Defense on all levels. DL/LB/Back end looking good with Market back there.

Now you are just reaching to save a bad argument..

No way that Daks spring turf toe cost us two games. Him not bring prepared? I didn't see one person say Dak looked "unprepared because he missed spring practice" after the Auburn game. Sorry you just aren't going to get away with such a bad argument.

This team wasn't beating OSU week 1 and Cox may be just as bad at safety. We lost a close game against a now 10-1 Auburn team that is catching all the breaks. We are right were most smart fans thought we would be.

We aren't 6-4 because Dak had turf toe in the spring...... laughable.

So we beat Auburn and....???

I can't beleive swapping Whitley and Cox would be the difference in 30+ points vs. LSU, 18 points vs. South Carolina, or stopping JFF.

I agree with you that a single position change wouldn't have made a huge difference this season and I know that's what Josey asked, but I do think that we would have beaten Auburn and at least one more with a semi-competent secondary that didn't get absolutely torched on blown coverage 2-3 times per game minimum. I don't know whether it's youth, players being out of position, poor coaching, or all of the above... but we're having problems back there that I don't feel like I've ever seen with our team, and it sure is taking a long time to show progress.

Of course, a little progress there is still more than I can say for our special teams
