havent' been to many games
Job + little kids.
Attended one game and saw us lose a close one, but we played with nice intensity. I still think Lewis had a lot to contribute this year (everyone will disagree with this), and he was really coming around when he got hurt. Hate that for him.
Drink like a Sally and admit it + thankful for multiple SEC West titles, (Croom and Polk were our other coaches and that wouldn't cut it) perfect combo for username.
Appreciate what Coach Stansbury gave us over the years. No need to rehash the flame out, but a change was needed. I hope our new coach can recruit, that will determine long term success/failure. Happy for Roquez sp? because that dude, much like Osby would never have seen the court on a Stansbury coached team.
Worry that the control freak + stubborn mojo might have slipped off Coach Stans on his way out and landed on Mullen. You can only get away with that kind of behavior so long without the wheels coming off. Mullen seems to employ some of the favoritism with respect to giving the Defense and defensive coaches hell, all while chest bumping Hevesy as Perkins runs up the middle for 1.5 yrds. Got to have some self reflection there. Also might need to read that chapter in Machiavelli's The Prince about "Is is better to be loved or feared?" To summarize, ideally both, but if you have to pick only one, pick feared. Because you control if people fear you, the other person decides if he loves you or not and men are fickle. This is probably appealing to a control freak. But the last sentence in that chapter ends with ..........have to pick one, etc...pick feared, but the Prince must avoid at all costs being despised. Mullen needs to go read that chapter. I can't recall if there are chapters in The Prince about Yankees recruiting in the South, or pouting on national TV while wearing gloves, or crappy punt/ko return strategies, or stubborness to adjust offensive schemes?? If there are, he should read those chapters too.
Also, shout out to Dawgbreeze, many years from now when I am his age in an extended care facility, I hope that I will be spry enough to go to the computer and talk smack about MSU sports back and forth with "kids" half my age. It might make me smile, and take my mind off the fact that places like that always smell like urine. Keep on keepin on.
