Yeah, we're 2-2 and were a missed catch away from possibly being 3-1, but we've made it through a very tough stretch of the schedule and we can go bowling by sweeping our OOC schedule and winning one more SEC game. If we can make it to 5-3 after the UAB game it will be a wild finish.

I've put too much time and anxiety into this program to do anything other than pimpour last win like a 2 dollar Indonesian ho.All outwool...wooly bully...spring time fluffy and summer time fresh balls to the wall imported English wool here. We have enough youth where we should make steady improvement throughout the year and I think Dan has finally rejected the idea of gimmicky play calling plus we have figured out how to kick the ball into the end zone. Our stock is rising like Apple.

Sure we'll be 3-2 after this upcoming Saturday, but we still have to go to Houston. And even though they lost their top two qbs I still don't feel good about that game. I could easily see us go into that game and see our defensive secondary get torn to pieces. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong.

turning the ball over with some ******** cutesy dipshitted play calling, I refuse to get my hopes up. It is like he gets things going good and then trips over his own feet.

That would be nice.

For me, its about clearly taking a step beyond barely missing or barely making a bowl game.

We're 2-2 after a gauntlet of an opening schedule (according to most every pundit and fan). We just beat down a perennial SEC top-6 team. We competed with another one, and a not-so-respectable (but horribly awful) showing on the road. Things are looking good.

Do we need to book tickets to Atlanta? No. But it's a damn fine time to be an MSU bulldog.

I would have said lets go October. Our two losses are to teams that have yet to lose; I think there's a chance they are pretty good. <div>
</div><div>If your expectations were any higher than .500 through September, you weredelusionalto begin with. What happened last night makes it highly likely that all 12 games this season will matter, and that hasn't happened too often over the last 10 years.<div>

with just a slight upgrade at QB and receiver. Except for the half back pass. I won't try to defend that one.

A good win, but hardly anything to get excited about. Lot's of room for improvement. But glad we are 2-2.

Wish we could have beaten Auburn, expected a little closer game to LSU, and a win against Georgia. We all expected Auburnand LSU to be close games, and although LSU wasn't, we can't really have expected to beat Auburn with them having as much talent as they do.Auburn and LSU are really good teams. They beat us, andthose games are not an accurate representation of how good we really are.

We will beat Houston. They are a shell of what they were with Keenum at QB. Hell they ran the ball 45 times against Tulane.I sure hope they do that against us, because they will score7 points maximum.

I still feel like 7 wins is attainable this season. Kentucky is overrated and got killed by Florida, and Ole Miss is not playing well. 6 wins is a minimum now. I said 7-5 before the season, and I'm going to stick with it. </p>

good stuff dude.. totally agree..

here's the deal.. we beat a team that has tons of extra stars and ark needed a game saving drive in the waning moments

they fought with south clic till the 4th...

they came into starkvegas DESperate for a w and got their asses handed to them...

when you see mullen talk, the enthusiasm does not need to be investigated... when you see the results of his halftime adjustments, one does not need to question his coaching ability... not just this game but the losses as well... those expecitng miracles and no mistakes? ... 17 you...just because you are are a retard... or just young and dumb....

all coaches make mistakes... specially the young uns' .. those who don't think ninja did us right and we don't have the best guy for what we need right now is on crack...

we are getting ready to go 7-5 folks.. and we WILL get a better bowl bid than the average 7-5 team...

suck it six pack negative nay-sayers

1. I have been a State fan too long to get excited.

2. We have only beat the people we should beat. Nobody special at all.

3. Fox did put one thing in perspective last night. They showed a graphic where State and UM were the only schools in the SEC West not in the top 15 in the nation. So if we are hanging with those guys somewhat then we are in high cotton as they say.

Yes we won, but I want to see some damn offense. Georgia is not THAT good of a team and Richt will be fired at the end of the year.
I'm not saying we should of scored that much more but for us to have continually struggled that much was very difficult to watch...
Having a score of 7-6 until 10 minutes in the 4th quarter, and then it only being 10-6 I was having flashbacks of sitting through 3-2.
Watching the offense fumble the ball all over the place and getting bailed out thankfully for once in my lifetime by the refs (or UGA wins by 2 td's)
took another few years off my life a usual. Ahh the joys of being a MSU fan.

and yes Relf had a good day but geez he is still not even a good passer, thankfully a good many of his passes the WR's now have enough skill to correct on the soft wobbly lame duck throws he puts up when he is trying to put touch on the ball.

The only good part about the way it ended up executed was that Relf knew it was a pick before it got halfway to the defender and he got in a position to make the tackle.

Yes I know it could of been worse...ala..actually 3-2 and a win..and I would be....glad we got the win.
But watching that crap yesterday was just frustrating. I LOVE a good defensive battle. That was not what we had yesterday.

up until the last quarter.

Our win against Georgia was painful to watch. Just about every mistake that could be made in one game was made...points:

- the fumble recovery on the punt...well the punt was a shank and if it hadnt hit a georgia player who is half deaf and couldn't believea punt could have been kicked that short..

- we got burned on a long pass with the defense set up in prevent mode is TERRIBLE..no excuse for them to score that last touchdown expect the corner sucks and the safety playing deep is to slow to react.

- Offense looked like Croom's version of the spread....dropped passes, runs up the gut, fumbling in full focus, and a very uncoordinated group. However the OL played well for the most part and we had time to throw the ball.

- Defense missed a **** load of tackles..however it was nice to see them bring the wood ....man the safeties punished the RB's and WR's.

...we did look good in the 4th, but other than that it was just terrible football from both teams.

Still, it feels good to pull out a win against a "power" SEC program, even though they are clearly not a good football team this year. And I do have hopes that we can win 6 or maybe 7 games now. But I've certainly not sprouted wool to the point where I think we have a chance in hell against teams like Bammer, UF, or even Arkansas.
