Is Trey Hardee the first MSU Olympic medal winner?

Yeah, I know, I know...he graduated from Texas after leaving MSU because we dropped the Indoor program, but to me, he still counts.<div>

...although baseball was a "demonstration sport" that year. Didn't become a full Olympic sport until 1992. And of course, has since been dropped completely from the Olympics.

to train for the 2004 Olympics and got hurt and missed. But she probably would not have medaled on the world stage,

Clark's medal does not count since it was not official, so I am wondering if Hardee is the first MSU athlete ever to medal at an Olympics.

in the movie...maybe he was in the Olympics that year in track.
