Latest models shift this thing back east and are showing 8-12 inches of rain in NORTH Mississippi. Might want to get a boat. I've been following this thread for information (skip to latter pages) LINK

Dan was just praising the new drainage system we installed - it's going to get a big time test.

Just noticed that. Page I saw had 6-8 over 5 days. I hope they meant 6-8 on Wed-Thurs and none the other few days.

I read somewhere (here?) that if the MS Gulf Coast takes it up the *** again, the Feds will have no choice but to send $2 billion to New Orleans.

Short rant here: Why in the hell does the weather channel insist on showing us how to use their website? It is ridiculous. All they need to say is go to weather.com for more specific information. I'd rather them just report the 17ing weather. What idiot can't figure out their website?

I get that but constantly showing me how to use it pisses me off enough to never go there. I guess they are trying to help out the morans out there though.

I haven't actually watched the Weather Channel in, well I don't really remember when. Why turn on the TV and wait for the information I'm looking for when I can go to the website and get it immediately?

Rebel or not, I really do enjoy watching Shep

He's probably the 2nd most entertaining person on FNC (Behind Greg Gutfeld). He adds a good amount of humor, and every now and then he goes on a pretty good tirade (such as against the "landmass" comment, or going off on someone that's anti-gay rights).

Only thing I really dislike is the ole miss plugs, but with the state of things as of late, he often gets jabs from his on location guy that really crack me up.

Still calm in The Big Easy...

Barely any wind blowing and clouds just starting to roll in.

It's not very hot, so when power goes out it wont be miserable.

That doesn't even make sense. Seriously before you call someone a dumbass check your post for logical mistakes or you in fact look like the dumbass

I don't see it. I see "moderation tools" but I may not be an admin anymore, not sure. I was the other day, but I'm back to being the Shogun of Harlem. Also, this is very unimportant, but my post count has gone down by 3k (I was 10ish away from 10k, Cowstanza territory!) and it's not moving any.

Feeder bands are getting stronger... pretty good gusts in this last one. Water will be over Hwy 90 very soon...

are you not using the threaded view? if so, then your "directv is badass" comment is directly under what I was saying about the weather channel. that should clear it up.

anyway this sounds like a damned retard fight and isn't worth the trouble. i should have known better than to rant about an OT issue. my fault.

when you added the photo I am assuming you clicked the icon on your screen that looks like a picture. after clicking that, did you add the picture from another URL? if so, that is where the button is located that DS told me to turn off.

if you actually uploaded the picture from your PC, then I don't have an answer. Mine uploads small as well when I do it that way.

DOES ANYONE LOOK AT A MAP ANYMORE?!!!

...or do Mississippians just want to be pissed off about something THIS BAD?

Since when the hell has Mississippi been the only thing between Mobile and New Orleans.

WTF people?

If you get in your car and drive from Mobile to New Orleans, you will go through more of coastal Alabama (where the hell do you think Forrest Gump made his fortune?), Mississippi, and then a tiny part of Louisiana.

That is THREE states. Therefore, saying "the Mississippi Gulf Coast" would have left out two states. If she said Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana....that would have covered everything from Galveston to Pensacola--too broad. "The small area of coastal Alabama east of the Mississippi border and west of Mobile, as well as the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and the Louisiana coast northeast of New Orleans" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

So, she said the land mass between Mobile and New Orleans. It make sense.

In actuality, we're being the arrogant ones (or at least ignorant).
