Isn't it odd how our accomplishment are suppose to motivates OM players?

Every year we beat them in the Egg Bowl we get quotes "I'm from Georgia, I didn't realize how serious this rivalry is. Wait till next year". Now the baseball team "We didn't realize how much we need to beat them until we saw them in Omaha last year".

How in the honest hell could that have been them? They lost out in their weak *** regional last year to some no-name opponents and didn't even play the 1 seed. They need to be wishing they had beaten virginia a few years ago because that was their best chance in the last 30 years.

They could almost smell it they were soooo close. All they had to do was not lose those games in the regional, win a couple more games in the regional, win a super regional on the road versus a seeded team, and then win a few games in the CWS and they could have shown they were just as good as MSU!

They had their chances with really good teams and blew it every time. Nothing will top losing that 2009 Super against Virginia. Oh, Evan Button.

It could have been Ole Miss in that Final Four in 1996 too if they had....you know......made the NCAA tournament.

Well , the 'no-name' team was William & Mary ...

from here in Williamsburg and they beat the rebs twice. We're good friends with one of the players and his folks spend a couple of weekends with us when they have home games. Oh, and I was wearing green and gold each time they played OM. Loved every minute of both games.

“Those were two good teams out there today, and William & Mary played better,” said Ole Miss head coach Mike Bianco. “They got all of the big hits today – especially the middle of their lineup. We didn’t get enough opportunities and when we did, we didn’t get the big hit. They did more with their few opportunities.

Still believe ...

that error and loss left a deep psychological scar on their whole baseball program that has haunted them since '09. It seems contagious ... passed down to each new rebel team. Reminds me of the Cubs.

And they could've gone undefeated in all their sports if they'd only scored more points than their opponents in all their games.
