that when a coach struggles a couple of years getting his program going then has some success and is appropriately rewarded by the school he almost always ***** the bed the next year. Is this just part of the MState persona ?

There is a long way to go for this baseball team. Right now we only have one person in the top 15 in batting average, slugging %, or on-base % (Wes Rae in on-base %).
Detz has really struggled so far. .230BA, .343 OBP, and only one extra base hit all season. Compare that to CT Bradford's .316BA & .367OBP.

Yeah as a State fan I`ve been in this same marathon for over 45 years and still have no idea where the damn finish line is.
I think you are talking about Cohen except the facts you describe are completely different from anything that has happened to him.
