I got McGregor losing his cool and round-housing Floyd, knocking him unconscious and being disqualified. Not joking. I think McGregor will find out quickly he can't box with him and will rationalize in his head that it's better to knock him out and get disqualified, than lose straight up.

Floyd will win. It will be boring. He's been boxing his entire life and has never lost. He's not gonna lose to a guy that dabbles in boxing. I would love for him to lose but I just don't see it.

I have whatever is on Netflix that night. It's a true get paid event, not even close.to an actual sporting event or fight. Floyd dances and runs, McGregor yells and chases.

In the highly, highly unlikely event that an actual fight happens, McGregor catches him in a later round with a elbow and fist and Floyd wins by DQ while unconscious

This isn't a fight...it's a payday spectacle.....I salute McG, he has solidified himself as the greatest troll of all time. He's gonna get life changing money just for running his mouth.

His largest purse in UFC was 3 million....now might get over 30x that.

Mayweather is -1100 and McG is +700
+700 is not even a fair underdog rate IMO.

Floyd will do what he does, run and counter ....point McG to death. It will be a boring sloppy fight and McG loses.

McG got out boxed by Nate Diaz....he has zero shot against a boxer the caliber of FM.

Yeah, it pains me to say it, but Floyd is going to win.

Things I just learned this morning:

MacGregor was actually a boxing champion in his youth; it's not like he's a novice, he knows what he's doing.

MacGregor is also very strong and used to extremely different ways of fighting from Mayweather.

Now, Floyd will win because his defensive posture is, for all intents and purposes, unbeatable so long as his reflexes are still quick. That, and he has loads of experience and has the best training and conditioning program on the planet.

Having said all of that, I would love to see his arrogant *** get KO-ed brutally. I just don't think it's going to happen. It could be a very fun fight to watch, though. Floyd is not known for his punching power, he just beats you by a thousand cuts and the fact that it's extremely hard to hit him.

The one hope Pacquiao had, which is the one hope that MacGregor has, is that if you can come at Mayweather from enough weird angles fast enough for long enough, you could possibly catch him at a bad time and clock him. Nobody's ever been able to do that, and I thought Pacquiao had the best shot at it, but still, that's what it takes. Miguel Cotto proved that you can go straight at him all night if you want, and even bash his face a bit, but he'll still win because he's too quick and that defensive posture is just too hard to deal with.

Just my thoughts.

It's going to have half assed punches and just be for $.

So Floyd, even if they did give more than 40%.

This is a boxing match. Floyd is a boxer, and he is undefeated against all other boxers.

Mayweather will run and score points and win, McGregor will loose a lot of money if he tries mma..its written into the contract. I want to see the heavyweight title unified.

Would McGregor allow or agree to let them write into the contract that he forfeits everything if he goes all MMA on him? I can see them making him agree that his purse goes from like 30 million to say 5, but would he agree to having everything taken away? If so, how much does he care? If he's already financially set, I still say he could lose his cool and knock the ***** out. Lots of people rooting for him to do it. Me inc.

This fight will show how dumb people are for paying 150 for the pay per view. I'm guessing Mayweather will run and counter and end up winning by points.

Both of them will laugh all the way to the bank. It's a money grab... plain and simple.

This is all about $$$. Nothing here interests me. I loathe MMA. I dislike Mayweather. I wish McGregor the best.

the article I read said the contract specifically said McGregor can't go mma..I'm not sure how much penalty he would get for a take down or round house kick...
I would think mcgreggor's only shot is running right at Mayweather pushing him a corner and maybe head butting and kneeing him when the ref not looking...lol

I don't care what anyone says...I'm watching. I'm also hoping chaos reigns supreme when McGregor loses his cool and goes all Bruce Lee on his ***.

Yeah I actually can see that point of view too...as long as you are watching for the spectacle and not expecting to see a real sporting competition, then I can definitely see it. Kind of like rubbernecking a car accident...too hard to turn away, even though you know it's not what you want to see.

I was convinced that this fight was never going to happen because I thought there was no way that McGregor would agree to box Floyd...but he has. It makes sense..

If you were Tom Brady, would you agree to play Lebron James in a game of one on one in basketball and get killed? Probably not. Would you agree to play the game if they would give you $100 million? Probably So.

really boxing gets more brutal the farther back you go. they used to have no rounds or refs. in london, and in rome they used to have leather straps on the hands (to protect the fist not the opponents) and they added brass to them.

Floyd will play with his food and will probably win by KO when he wants to.

So does the winner of this get to fight Matilda the boxing kangaroo? What at joke, it is really sad to see that boxing as a sport has fallen off so much.

Greed and corruption. Scumbag leaches like Don King bleeding fighters bank accounts didn't help either.

I remember another contest back in November where the outcome was a virtual certainty. Then at about 11PM my time, the odds swung from 92% from the one lady, to 99% to the other guy.

The sweet science has been reduced to this. Actually, the fight is an insult to Rowdy!

I honestly thought boxing was on a bit of an upswing. My perception may be skewed due to the success of Terence Crawford. I know over the last 3+ years I have watched more boxing than I have in my life.

The match I'd really love to see is Joshua vs Wilder.
