drink some <17>ing kool-aide and staart to believe in this year's roundball club. I have seen all our home games in person, and listened to or watched the others and of course we have less rebounds than in the past, WE CAN SHOOT. the bandwagon I'm driving and give Stans credit. Hell, give our team credit. We're going to surprise everyone when we win the west this year.

I don't give a **** about a west title anymore. We have plenty of those.

I want to play on the second weekend of the tournament. That is the only way I will be happy with the basketball program.

I want an SEC title and a 5 seed...its going to take at least 10 SEC wins to give us a chance at the Tourney, regardless of where we finish in the West

so no matter how much more the other west teams suck we were, according to you and many others, we shouldn't be on the court with Arkansas and their two top 10 wins.

your quicker than me. Glad its not a gunfight.

After the past 2 weeks, im optimistic about our basketball team. Ive been quiet about them to this point because i wanted to see how they would respond to the charlotte and san diego losses. It will be an interesting week for our basketball team. With two home games, we could advance to 3-0 in the SEC. That would be HUGE.

Just for thought, Arkansas was ahead 41-37 early in the second half. Their crowd was in the game, and they had their biggest lead of the game. Barry hit a huge 3 to shut the crowd up. From that point on, we outscored them 33-15. Very impressive second half.

And we also caught arkansas at a great time. They shot 2-20 something from the outside. However, i think our defensive length had a lot to do with that.

I really hope one of your condoms break and you choke on it, Itakeitnthejaw34. you're notorious for never giving Stans the credit he deserves for making MSStake the premier basketball program in the Western Div. as far as i'm concerned, you should be castrated. You don't know basketball and have **** for brains. We'll win the SEC Tourney, brother.

thanks to the great coaching of Coach Ricky Stansbury, to the point that West titles are just arent enough. Its time our program did more

Who are the two morons that said MSU can't win the west. That's retarded. If MSU was in the SEC East, then yes, they cannot win the west.
Nobody should be dumb enough to proclaim MSU as west champs after 1 game as well.

Can this team win the West? Yes..
Will this team win the West? No..

We won't shoot 40% from 3s every night, and we're probably going to lose the majority of the games we don't.

State will finish 2nd or 3rd in the west.

Damn you whine a lot. I guess it's from coaching and hanging around all those jr. high little boys so much. Enjoy a big win for once; you can continue your Stans bashing tomorrow, but for now, let it be.

back in the 90's. I remember one year in particular he played 4 guards and they shot a lot of 3 pointers. Not saying we look that good, but somewhat similar. Relying on 3 will get us killed in some games but hopefully Osby will continue to develop and give us more inside help when the outside game is not working. Should be a fun team to watch mature this year.

Winning the West is always realistic and I think we might pull it out. I'm not going to agree with you on winning an SEC tourney just yet I have to see how we play at UK and UT before I make the judgment. But I'm with you on giving Stansbury credit. Theres no reason we should fire him and the argument is lacking good reasons for firing Stansbury. The firings Byrne has pulled off the past year have been excellent but the Stansbury argument has no legitimate ground for firing him.

I'll go out on a limb and proclaim that Stans has made some adjustments and the players have responded well during the last 3 games...

we are playing right now as well as any other sweet 16 team...

if we can continue is the question.... we've definitely done a 180 since those earlier embarassments...

It's been a while since we've gone on the road and totally dominated a team that had a pair of top 10 wins under the belt...

the good question that someone else pointed out though is what's going to happen on those nights where the 3's are not falling... good shooting teams do have their off nights and the ones that can compensate are the ones that can transition right into the paint and get it done down low as well...

You are correct but we don't have the choices of an inside presence other than Jarvis. Brian is a consistent no-show and Bailey is still a work in progress and his hands are not very good. If everyone plays us like the hogs, they are going to force Jarvis to get rid of it when he is double teamed and then we have to shoot the threes. I still like our talent and Ravern was not much of a factor last night but our other kids stepped up and if Bost plays like he did last night, we are going to beat lots of folks.

could someone explain why winning the west means anything except for the fact it gives us a top seed in the sec tourney? its just not real important in the grand scheme of things. the ncaa selection committee could give a **** if we win the west but looks at where we finish in the season, the sec tourney, and our schedule. all those that keep harping on how many west titles we have need to reach for something else. our program is to the point that how we do in the conference overall and ncaa tournament is what matters

anybody can use to defend Stansbury as a decent coach. They somehow forget that the non-conference schedule matters too. And it all is settin up what you do in March- because that is what really matters- where you finish
