I've got to give props to Wendell.

I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but he did a phenomenal job denying the post for about a five minute stretch in the second half to keep the ball out of the paint when they were killing us down there. That really kept us in the game before we were able to pull away. Solid effort.

When wendell is aggressive and active good things happen. His positioning is improving, hell his entire game is improving. He(improvement), Bryant(improvement), Hood, Smith and Moultrie have really added to this team in a very good way this year. I just have to think this team will be very solid this year come tourney time. Guess my wool grows a little every game.

feed their Pole. Lewis did what fatass couldn't, he guarded their Pole and changed the game on the defensive end.

I wish our clueless fans would STFU! Sidney is giving us quality minutes. No, he is not what everyone built him up and I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings but if you look on the court he is helping our team and has actually played pretty good defense. I've never seen a fan base so critical and attacking of their own players.

Fat-***? I really wish morons like you weren't affiliated with MSU at all. None of us are clueless to the fact of his past struggles, but if you haven't noticed a change,<div>and more importantly, if you haven't noticed a once "NBA lottery guy" busting *** as a role player with clutch moments, then you sir, are the worthless POS. He's not</div><div>a damn gazelle- he's not a "cerebral, gym-rat, intangibly-sound, stand-up guy", but he currently is busting as for MY (and your?) team.</div><div>

4 of his points were free throws. He is very hit and miss... you never know what Sidney you are gonna get. He was hurting us BAD on the defensive end because he wouldn't fight for position and deny anything from their post... he just let him shoot over him. Also, he doesn't fight for position on offense... which really hurts. Our offense really opens up when the post player is involved and when we have our post camping out on the low block with his hands on his hips and everyone else is trying to get open, it really hurts our offense. If you want my honest opinion, Sidney had flashes of greatness tonight, but for the most part, he was lazy in every phase for the most part... Rebounding, defense, transition, and offense. Very Little hustle and effort and Wendell outplayed Sidney in a big way tonight.

and on the offensive end he still does a lot of standing around prolly because of conditioning or lack thereof........Defenisvely, meh he simply doesn't like playing it.....I do think he is playing with more effort compared to last year but to be honest, that's not saying a whole helluva lot....So, again I think there are some positives but still some negatives......As long as we keep winning, I don't really care but there will come a time when we will need him to take his game to the next level......Question is, can he or will he do it?

My point is that no one in their right mind would say we would be better without him on the team. He is a big body who gives other teams match up problems. He is the key to how far we go in the tournament. With him playing like he is right now we are around a sweet 16 team. If he continues to improve and get in shape we have a shot at the elite 8 or better.

I don't think most people understand what he brings to the table even when playing lazy. As much as you've got to love Lewis's effort and continuing improvement, the simple fact is that he cannot score in the low block on his own while guarded by a competent defender, while Sidney can score at will if/when he's on his game, and must be guarded out to three point range. This is why Sidney starts and will continue to start, despite his frustrating play at times. Don't get me wrong, I love Wendell's play and he's a huge asset to us, but that's the situation.

"Dont get mad, I mean it dont get mad". Sidney thought he didn't commit a foul. And was about to get a technical. He has a hard time channeling his emotions in the right direction. And he is lazy in the low post he doesn't work hard each trip and when you have the beast Moutrie next to you it makes him look worse.

I know exactly when you're talking about, I was silently begging Stans to get him out. I honestly think his play suffers much more from getting mad/frustrated than from being lazy.

Lewis has no offensive game, especially away from the goal. We just need the RSS to finally grow up and be a man, and we would be unstoppable... I can't wait for the showdown with Baylor, if we beat them, then look out SEC...

It's just so frustrating to think about Sidney. He has made some improvements this year, but if he could ever play up to his potential, just think about what he and Moultrie could do together in the paint... Even now, Sidney's a solid scorer and an outstanding passer down low when he doesn't try to do to much; It's all about him getting his head together and his body in decent shape if he really wants to be a star.
