I've grown to hate this baseball team...

...they constantly choke @ the plate with the bases loaded, the seniors are dangeours liabilities instead of leaders who know how to deliver in key situations, & their Bad News Bears antics in big games alienates them from the fanbase.

Lastly, Ogden is a worthless buffoon. This guy should be taken out of the line-up & another player who "can't get the ball out of his glove" should take Ogden's place.

Yesterday, you railed on me for saying this team would struggle to make the SECT. Today, you hate this team. Chill the 17 out. We're not good enough to consistently beat top 10 teams. But for the first time since Pat McMahon left, our baseball program finally seems to be heading in the right direction. </p>

That's pretty encouraging considering where we are right now.

And unless I'm mistaken, Florida and Vanderbilt are actually top 5 in most polls. We also swept a then ranked Auburn team and beat a top 20 USM team at a neutral site.

me is how much more physical Florida was to our guys. We have alot of young guys that have not filled out yet but who are pretty good baseball players. We are a decent team, decent not great and if we keep improving we will make post season play but I wouldn't expect us to go to far this year if we make it.

I know Cohen is a small ball guy and maybe that is the way to go especially considering the new bats but there isn't anything wrong with 6 foot 1 plus and 200 lb plus guys that can run either. To reach the top tier we are going to have to get bigger more talented guys, just an opinion.

Can't believe anyone can not see the improvement in this years team...sitting there Sat. afternoon, and the entire right side of the field were freshmen, including the pitcher...they are competing with the best and except for the anomaly Sat. are staying in games where just one or two things decide the outcome...we will be there before the end of the year, and hope we can continue to fight enough to get in the tournament...

that it was like watching T-ballers playing 18 yr old Dixie youth. Both plate umpires had strike zones that went from triangular to circular. We stood and watched two called third strikes in the 8th and 9th innings and you can't do that with those types of strike zones. You must protect the plate.

But, with so many freshmen they are going to have to learn. It's also time to sit Ogden and play Henderson and some of the other younger guys in the middle infield.

within baseball. We all know Balis' program has made a huge difference in football and we also know that our basketball program totally neglects S&C. It certainly never appeared to me that Polk much believed in S&C. I can remember in the 90s when we played LSU thinking it was like 30 year old men playing high schoolers just looking at the players.

brilliant in the field but errors at the most critical defensive position have a way of coming back to haunt you and they certainly did this weekend. It appears to me that he really struggles on throws when he can't completely set his feet whether he is going to his right or left. What separates the great shortstops is there ability to make all the throws under all circumstancesand he just struggles with that.

to start the disastrous second inning last Saturday he didn't even try to set his feet. If he had taken just a split second to set himself he would have had a decent shot at getting the out. I believe they actually scored that play as a hit but I think the scorekeeper was being kind to Ogden.

..(I am speaking to patdog here) for your pessimistic predictions because I didn't realize until this past weekend how magnificently incompetent this team is @ the SS position.

Now I am beginning to believe your predictions were overly optimistic.

As far as the overall woeful lack of senior leadership we see with this baseball team, I thought that would emerge as the season progressed.

Now I've resigned to the factual evidence it's never going to emerge.
