I think I see more of these posts than I do actual "Player x is overrated" or "we didn't really want him" posts.
Crazy. Suddenly, many aren't surprised. If Coan was N, we wouldn't hear the end of how Riley is killing it.
I'm sorry more people aren't bitching about the staff. That must really bum you out.
Can't win them all. Why does it have to be one extreme or the other? Wish the kid luck and move on to Gebbia or someone else. Too many damn drama queens on here!!
LurkI think many aren't surprised because the hope is for Gebbia. Coan came on the radar a few weeks ago or so... Gebbia has been the guy people have been talking about for months. Now If Gebbia also goes elsewhere, then people will be expressing the level of surprise you are looking for here.
Not surprised because he was more than likely not coming here from the start. Wisconsin has better academics and he probably sees their depth chart as an easier climb. Gebbia has always been QB #1 for this class.

Hypothetical for OkeyDokey... If a high profile athlete commits to the huskers, would it be surprising that people would be saying that Riley is killing it? (Answer is no...)

If you are a Husker fan how can you not be happy with the way things have played out this offseason?
Some people just have to be miserable all the time and like to rain on everyone's parade.
Disappointed losing Terry Wilson to Oregon, and now Jack Coan to Wisconsin, but glad we beat out UNLV, Texas Tech, and Colorado for POB.

Not surprised because choice 1A might be N and he was made aware graciously by the staff that the QB slot is filled. Good luck to him, except when he plays us, and I hope my theory is correct.
Don't look now, but there are just a couple of months left before signing day. This story may not be over. I don't mean to suggest that 17-year-olds sometimes change their minds, but...........

I just hope elbowow goes over to the Wisky board to help temper their excitement about him. They need him over there I'm sure, their probably getting all excited, and need a calm cool head to help guide them through this rough patch.
