Not quite as spicy as your little take, but if it blew your mind, I understand.
If Riley can string together more than 6 wins (or 9, as that is apparently our floor) next season, you may have finally found justification for using. Too. Many. Period. Marks.

Sounds like Coan was planning on going to a good academic school regardless (Yes, even better than NU academically). Wisconsin was a good choice for him. Gebbie come on down and bring more Cali boys with you. Starting with a RB and CB.

Don't look now, but there are just a couple of months left before signing day. This story may not be over. I don't mean to suggest that 17-year-olds sometimes change their minds, but...........

Yeah, that's what makes me nervous about KJJ. We gotta keep him in the fray for 11 months.

For some reason, due to the relationship of his father and Riley, we shouldn't worry as much as if it were another 4 star WR.

I understand what you're saying, as no one is 100% until they sign, but I feel like the only way KJJ goes elsewhere is if Riley goes elsewhere also. IMHO.

or Williams
If we do not match or exceed any and every offer he receives then our AD/staff needs to have their heads examined. I'm confident we will. Williams may/will be a NCAA top 5 paid assistant in the next few years.

Dude, come on. You set yourself up for that one. Apologies if you were offended.
Not offended, just weak. You could have done much better I thought. The whole ask your mom bit is just played out, that's all.

But no, not offended. I'm not that thin-skinned.

Any apology that contains the phrase "If I offended somebody, I'm sorry" isn't a real apology. "I'm sorry" is real, but toss in the word "if", and you're trying to get credit for doing something you don't really even believe yourself.

Ok. A period mark is a part of standard and proper punctuation. I think you are thin-skinned if you actually had the audacity to ask such an elementary level question.

Actually, we both failed in our attempt at being funny. I didn't intend for this to go the direction it has, was just making light of period mark, because I have never heard a period referred to as a period mark.

Period.

Best of luck. Gebbia...next.......?? GBR
---KJ Jr. huge impact nation wide on his commitment to Nebraska. Big Story even on KNBC local affiliate in LA. Great player and will help recruiting. Has had a great impact in LA high schools (players and coaches).

---Thinks this class could be a Top 15 class. Geography (Location) is still an issue they have to fight. Other Top 15 teams have their 4 and 5 stars kids within a few hundred miles.

---He thinks Gebbia (Jeb e a) is the logical next commit from Calabasas just based on Coan committing to Wisconsin. It indicates that Nebraska is in a good position with Gebbia. Gebbia IS NOT taking anymore trips. USC is making a late push at him however, Sean does not think that is going to matter (ironic as they did the same with Patrick O'Brien). USC coaching staff dropped the ball on him. To this day Sean does not understand that. Not to mention Gebbia is rated the #1 QB in the state of California. Its down to Nebraska vs Mississippi. His dad played at Mississippi but he loves Nebraska and his mom and dad love Nebraska too. So we will see how it plays out but Sean likes the Huskers chances. Expected to commit in the next week or two.

---Sean thinks the Huskers are in good position with Holmes as well. Visited the Huskers more than a few times. Thinks Nebraska might be the team to beat right now. its just a matter of when he wants to make a commitment. He is talented enough that he could extend his recruitment all the way to signing day if he wants. If he wants to announce at an All-Star game or on ESPNU on signing day then you have to be willing to hang in there with a guy like him. Thus, depends on what his time table is and when he wants to commit. Sean C

Can't win them all. Why does it have to be one extreme or the other? Wish the kid luck and move on to Gebbia or someone else. Too many damn drama queens on here!!:eek:Lurk

Getting the top rated QB from Cali 2 years in a row is probably far more important to our recruiting than a kid from a little recruited State. The rub will be far greater if we end up with Gebbia.

POB wasn't the top rated QB from California last season. If the point is that we're attracting elite talent from a state like California, I'm in agreement -- but you made a statement of fact which isn't accurate. Anyway, it would be nice to have a solid QB competition for a change...
