Jacksonville Hotel Question

Has anyone found a nice hotel that will let you stay for only 1 night? I'm driving down from ATL on the morning of the 31st, and then back after the game. All the nice places downtown are requiring 2 and 3 nights even though there are plenty of rooms available. Also, where on the beach was the best area to stay in regards to NYE parties? If I can't get a place downtown to let me in for just 1 night, I might move out there.

We are flying in from CO and staying out at one of the airport hotels for four nights. We have some friends coming in from central FL and they have one night - NYE.

Hotel: Springhill Suites, Marriott chain. Of course not a party scene - we are all 70ish. However, since it is NYE we might stay up 'till 8:30 or so.

Yes...

There is a Sheraton off of Butler road not too far from I95 and an Embassy Suites...both of these hotels are south of downtown but no more than 15 minute drive. Also, the Crown Plaza at the airport is not bad...

We are staying at Hampton Inn I-96 South for NYE only. They tell me it is 5 or so miles from stadium. Hope they are right.
