Edit the thread title, fair enough, BUT 100% back in September, when he had started the season 2/4 IIRC, there were a couple of morons who were very, very unhappy. Maybe it was on the Round Table and, if so, my apologies.

Go back to his miss which clanked off the goalpost and I would bet there were several RU posters who probably said” he sucks”.

Look it up if it so bothers you. One thing about this board you can bank on is they will always deny something that they personally don’t believe true. Yes you poor foolish soul there were several who when Patel was recruited posted questions about him being good. Then when he “ clanked it off the upright on a 51 yard attempt” they were certain he wasn’t the answer.

I don't mean you need answer this. But OP should have offered some evidence if he were so inclined to claim there's a noticeable segment of the Rutgers fan base on this board who attacked a kid with little evidence of his performance.

Hey the player being attacked ( some few) is Wimsatt… Jai Patel ‘s recruitment and first 51 yard miss off the post were topics of is he the answer? Patel will set records at Rutgers if he stays 4 years.

As NUTS stated, this was on the RT where it happened. I don't know who they were, but I do recall the boobirds coming out of the woodwork at that time.

If the thread is to honor Jay Patel.. why bother with this crap? That is the objectionable thing... if RUBOB72 cares to go there, for no good reason, then name some names at least. Otherwise don't even mention it.

I don't think that the average fan in the spring thought that Patel was going to be our kicker this year. The kid came through game after game. I'm happy we have him and I think that he could develop into one of RUs best kickers ever.

And you would be correct colbert17. That was the conversation when he was A) being recruited B ) after he signed C) and especially after missing the 51 yarder. Also was the same time they were criticizing the long snapper and PAT .
